Right anyone got one of these???
The guys are here currently concreting and printing my drive,at the momnet it looks like a drive full of chocolate mousse. My 6 yr old wants to dive into it.
And the cat is eyeing it up for a bit of paw print design later.

If you have one:
How long for,and any pitfalls. or are you still completley satisfied?

Upon completion I will post a pic,3 cars and a bike on a drive......:sounds like a good title for a novel!!!!

We had it done last year, pretty pleased with it, it looks as if it could do with another coat of sealant on it, as there's a few bare patches, shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Incidentally, the firm which did it have gone "bankrupt" and are now doing a drive up the road trading under a different name.

I personally wouldn't have it done. Concrete in this form always ends up cracking, and never along the cracks in the pattern! But each to their own, I suppose.

Near neighbours have them.

One looks good, t'other's a real dog's dinner....instalation/design problems.

One had to be re-coated shortly after installation...don't know why, but it's fine now, several years on.

What bothers me is.......what happens if you later need to get to drains, cables, etc, running under the drive.....? BT would charge you an arm and several legs to get at theirs.

I don't think there's much chance of it cracking, it's got a very deep, solid base. If there's a problem with the ntl line, they'll put a new one in along the lip of the wall.

I lot of people have commented on how nice it looks.

No way, it shouldn't crack. I've seen the odd one , but that's it. If done right, and its a fairly foolproof system, it'll look good for years and years.

Digging and re-laying a patch should be no problem either. The colour match is important, so keep a record of the colour supplier, jessica.

My parents had theirs done last year and it looks really nice - they're really happy with it.

It shouldn't crack as they cut fine lines it for when it shrinks and expands. If it does happen to crack then it should only go as far as the lines. Any inspection covers are also covered but they cut round it and put keyholes on it so you can still lift it up.

thanks for the info.....as for cracking I am assured this doesn't happen as they actually stilsaw, crack ridges into the whole design to stop this from happening.

it's looking good.....

Actually, ours is pretty good in that respect, though it does make squeeking noises as you walk on it when it's wet.

Had one of these at my former house - and it did have a long crack form in it eventually - but barely noticeable.

When I moved there, the previous owner said not to put salt down on it as it reacted with something or other - can't remember.

I used to jetwash it down once a year. I'm guessing now that when people on here are talking about colours and sealants - that this may not have been a good thing to do?

Had ours done 4 or 5 years ago and it's a mess. Cracks all over the place, colour coming off and crap like that. As has been said, it's slippery as hell when it's wet

Still waiting for the guys to come and wash off the powder. But angry as Hell..........
Right by the gatepost as obvious as you can make it they have stamped the last brick with there name and telephone no..

Me gonna demand they remove it. If they had asked I would have suggested they stamp it somewhere less obvious.behind gatepost maybe or not at all.

In my mind this just makes it look a mess, and I dont see why they should get free advertising on my drive on my property. I think I own the drive paid a enough for it.

Get them to remove it or don't make the final payments. We don't have that on ours, but we did get a discount for having that plastic sign in the photo there for 2 weeks or so.

Well done

We bl--dy well do have that on ours and there's no way to remove it (according to a 'concrete technician' (me neither ) who Trading Standards dredged up)

Ask for, nay demand, an 'advertising fee'.

Muncher, you clearly just wanted to show a picture of your pristine alloy wheel.

Thanks BTW, I'll let you know how I get on.

Er, no offence, but who are you? You haven't posted on this thread before, so I don't understand this comment.

Are you something to do with Jessica?

Have I missed summat?
