Pic Of The Week: Not A Porsche 962

But you can drive this Switec-Porsche 962C every day...

We don't usually use POTW to plug the PH classifieds, but we couldn't resist this shot submitted by PHer GFWilliams.

The black beauty in question is a Switec-Porsche 962C, and as our ad shows it could be yours for less than the price of a small house in the suburbs. But who needs a house anyway?

According to the blurb, the car has recently been given 'a most satisfactory thumbs up' by Slim Borgudd. Read all about it here...

The power's seriously low down on that car.... yikes

You'd get a speeding ticket just sitting at the lights.... there's never a euromillions win around when you need one.

It's OK... it has reverse sensors!!

Seriously Want that, just so I can be really really scared of it.

Yes, Batman would drive past that, slowly turn his head to take it all in. Drive dejectedly home to the Bat Cave and cry his bloody eyes out!

Is that a semi-matt "stealth" black it's in?

Big +1. It'd just sit in the garage growling and eating anything which came near it!

Come on Euromillions...

I sent PH HQ a few pictures and they chose that one. I still think that this picture is much cooler though!
Awesome, awesome car!

I like both shots - TBH. The side-on one is less dramatic but shows the extraordinary dimensions with the cab forward/long tail thing going on.

Seeing it in pure black rather than in livery brings the whole shape out.

Wow. just, wow!

I never thought I'd see one of these as a road legal car. But the one road legal Nissan R390 apparently was up for sale a while back. One day... maybe.

There was another company in Germany (Dauer if memory serves me well ) that produced some road legal ones a long time ago. If you hunt around you can probably still find one, but it will in all likelihood be in 1/43rd scale & made by minichamps, in black , red, or yellow.
