Just realised that I never posted pics of the finished respray on my 308 ! So I popped out in the sun (such hardship !) and took these ....

Nice job Nev

You do realise of course, that your pics are now more likely than ever to end up in other people's adverts!

LOL ! Yeah, I know, oh well

Yes, it was a full respray. Most of the car didn't really need doing but I'm a perfectionist, and after 24 years there were the odd panels which didn't match colour wise under sodium lights, the odd touched up ding etc. The car was stripped of everything bar the windscreen, the doors taken back to bare shell, all panels removed from car incl. fibreglass clam shells etc.

The only welding that needed doing was the 2 'A' panels behind the front wheels (both sides, below the swage line) which are a common spot for rust (being in the firing line from the front wheels), and these were replaced. Most of the paint was original anyway, so we decided that a strip to bare metal really wasn't required, so only the places that had been resprayed in the past by other people was stripped to bare metal (bottom of doors and the whole nose, etc)

Optional extra. Many cars don't have 'em. e.g. on this LHD car ...

One question - did you ask them to put the Ferrari and the 308 GTS badges on the other way round?

Trefor - nice one, but you should have Photoshop'd it, that would have had him out to the garage or reaching for the piccies!
