I saw the 70k mile Manual 997 GTS in blue sold on CC for £56k plus fees and went on with no reserve. That seems expensive doesn't it?
There are no cheap Porsche 911’s at the moment. Would have been a sub £50k ca last year but if you want a manual GTS the only Coupe currently for sale is over £80k at Hexagon. 911V sold one recently which was £75k and I think had done something like 30k miles. There are never more than 2 or 3 manual coupe’s for sale.

Hex car looks superb. I can’t get my head round whether the thick end of £80k for such a low mileage rate car in manual is good ‘value’ or not! (When comparing to newer generations etc.)

I love the outside colour but the Drivers seat is very poor imo for such a low mileage car. 7 owners with hardly any use also puts me off too.

I’d rather a higher mileage car that you can drive without depreciating it too hard but there really isn’t any stock atm which is why they’ve put it up at £80k.

Just bowling in with a completely basic opinion but the blue GTS at Hex I think is the biggest signifier of how mental the market is at the moment and (correct me if I am wrong) I am not surprised it hasn't sold.

£84k (another 5% on £80k). Nuts.

A 997.1 GT3 comfort with rear seats added would be a better place to spend that money.

A lot of people chasing few cars is keeping prices high across models.

Better to let it calm.

The poor sucker who buys that will be very disappointed when it doesn't turn into a £110k car.

To those that have followed this particular model over the years, what % of the approx 100 manuals would likely have buckets and be in black (gloss rather than basalt). Like, with the right Cayman R spec, I suspect this could be a two to five year wait for a 997 GTS with buckets in Black, or never ever materialise....though I suppose I could fit official buckets second hand (albeit it at an extra £6-£10K).

Anyhow, am I looking for something that doesn't exist?

stunning, and if PDK is your thing then it seems perfect - though as per my comment above, I'd then source OEM bucket seats and replace them.

Its crazy how the GTS has shot up in price -vs- prices at the start of the year, for example..

Totally. This one(white one) has the LSD package/aero kit/warranty/new tyres so with a bit of discount it can't be a million miles out?

I’d say that was a cheap car/well bought and where trade bids were rather than retail asking prices for a manual car. The white car linked to above was probably bought for £60k by the OPC as it is PDK. At £70k I’d say it is strong money for a PDK car…LSD is a very rare option and lots of people like the arerokit. Personally I like it without it….bit like I think the 993 C2S looks much nicer without the optional Turbo spoiler some have.

You’re in for a wait I think (possibly more than 5 years). They’ll be a few black, manual, rear drive cars out there with buckets but finding one in black gloss will I think be just about impossible!

I doubt there are even 10 with buckets….last one I saw for sale was a RPM and I am pretty sure it ended up going to HK. I’ve owned mine for five years….reckon I have seen 2 or 3 come up for sale with buckets in that time. A decent amount of 997.2 GT3’s were delivered in Comfort Spec so to order a GTS with buckets would have been very unusual.

The good news is I think over 50% of cars are Black or White.

Thank you both for your replies.
I think it the right manual one comes up then it’ll be a case of a repaint and/or installing official buckets. All in it’s probably an extra £20k to factor on top but hey so be it.
Ok, the start begins….n nnnn now!

It’s a strange spec in a way, however lovely condition. I think at ££65 I’d be game, if it was a manual I’d go at the asking. That lsd seems to be so rare.

Is there a brochure/pdf from the model year listing the options? This one just looks like most boxes were ticked(wish they’d left the pdk off!).

This might help, though I don't think every option is listed in this

Would also add that if your hung up on a LSD you may as well factor in a rebuild for the diff as well. I’m led to believe the standard ones are made of chocolate and don’t add anything to the driving experience after not many miles unless they are rebuilt or upgraded to a better quality item. Faster route might be to add a better quality LSD to a non LSD car if you don’t mind modding (which you don’t if your planning to swap the seats out). Just thinking of ways you can get to your ideal spec without waiting many many years.

BTW Based on “internet spec” my GTS is worthless even as scrap so I can’t sell it (27k miles, basalt black manual RWD, CLs, plastic dash, sports seats, sports chrono and a sunroof), but I’ve owned it since 2014 and still absolutely love it biggrin
