I completely agree, and wasn't suggesting that. I don't think anyone is looking down on anyone else, merely saying that a degree of balance between pleasure and cost should be metered out. I feel sure those who have been waiting will be bagging a bargain in the coming months.
Agreed, I know that you specifically were not.

There are people less financially fortunate that have a different balance of pleasure and cost who necessarily can't risk taking a bath, and this discussion is helpful up them.

For those that can buy and enjoy with no consequence, obviously this discussion is not of interest. (And great that they are in that position).

However, those then suggesting that the discussion stop or that sports cars are not for them is ill-mannered in my opinion.

Back on topic, the red 991.1 is still hanging around at £37k... would have thought it would be snapped up!
One thing I'm damned sure of as a consequence of the prices dropping, is that more enthusiasts will get to enjoy Porsche's of all varieties which is a great thing. Good luck on your hunt beer

I agree ... and hopefully the unobtanium cars will become accessible as the market normalises ...

Im a tight git, id hate to buy now and then come next summer the same car worth 10k less than now.
No offence, but I don't think a £60,000, 991 911 is for you if you don't like the idea of losing £10k over the next year.

Ignore the last 3 years, that was not normal.

A £60,000 991 is going to lose £10k by next summer. Be realistic.

Why don't you just buy a £40k 991 Carrera, you can run that for 3 years, not worry about mileage and expect to loose £10-15k. Anything less will be a bonus.

If you're going to be worried about losing £10k on a 911 I bet you will also be worried about putting miles onto a £60,000 car too?

Prices are definitely coming down and will continue to do so.

No Offence taken. Im Far from an expert on used porsche prices, only what ive picked up online over that past few months.
If someone was to guarantee me that id lose £10k over the next year on for example a £70k 991.1 gts i wouldnt be buying no.
Depreciation yes of course is normal, but i wouldnt expect 10k in a year on a 2015 gts, if that was going to be the case then
Id be happy to wait.

I’ve been watching the 3RS market for just over a month now and nothing is shifting. OPC’s just holding onto stock with no corrections, new cars coming on at roughly the same price as everyone else. Feels like that corner of the market is in for the long run still…..any thoughts?

Problem is the last few covid years have propped up prices, a 991.1 gts should now be around £50k based on normal levels of depreciation.

If you buy a 991.1 gts for 70k, you’re buying in at covid prices.

Surely to get to the £50k level, taking into account £70k is at the lowest end of the market for these, ive seen others on at £80-£85k, how long before they hit that £50k or anywhere close. Could easily be 2 years before we see that ?

I for one am delighted that I got a 992T at the top of the market, as OPC honoured the old price and now I have some unforgettable memories traveling across EURP. Also, I don't wish anyone any distress, but I wish the market would normalise, so I could buy a new GT3, without having to shag anyone in the process, or having to pay a massive premium.

50k 991.1 gts would be a bargain... think that's unlikely in the short term. I'd def be a buyer before then

I would say over the last 18 months the asking price for WP has come down ~£25k and the non-WP about £15k.

It has been ticking over all summer with the occasional car that seemed to stick. Never much more than 15 cars for sale, although that may be controlled. New RS is a crazy price so maybe that is supporting prices.

If you have circa £190k to spend then you have a choice of 991.2 GT3 RS non-WP, 992 GT3 and GT4 RS - certainly be interesting to see where all three are next April.

Other than the sunroof, it seems to have very little in the way of options, which may be working against it.

Other 991.1 at the 40k point aren't really moving either, think we are in a holding pattern before the market works out what is going on...

There have been three other. 1s below 40k in the last two months and they have sold within a week.

Sign of the times or sign of the car, I've not seen the car in person so it's hard to say.

Pop a few registrations into WBA car, that will be what a dealer will value it.

History won't be kind to the 991.
997's will be more expensive than their 991 equivalents in all models.

Thats 100% wrong in the example of a 991.1 gts. Maybe other porsche models or different makes that may be true, but not on those, not even close.

So this is the lowest price sensible mile 4 gts I could find…

What do you think the trade value it at?

This week’s valuation from BCA isn’t looking that great!
