NXI20 will be along shortly to answer that one I'm currently on 125,850 miles, the engine having been completely rebuilt at 85K miles (not because of any problems, more as a preventative measure given how it's being used). Bottom end, pistons, rings & liners were all like new; top end was a different story with the guides quite worn and the valves & seats badly pitted. Cams were OK but the buckets showed some wear. The car had done about 25K track miles though so to be expected really. Didn't use a drop of oil before the rebuild & barely does now. It's now done 168 trackdays with me and is continuing to rack them up at a steady 20-odd a year

Be careful, your iPhone has saved the location the photos were taken into the exif data, it is possible to see exactly where those were taken which could be a security risk. GT3 Pics
I won't be more specific for obvious reasons but to confirm it appears the garage opposite only sells cheapies.

As said, it kind of depends on the use, but i have read from Sharwerks that they have found damage internally on engines with as little as 20,000 miles. These are cars that have been used heavily on track, but it is important to remember these are high revving engines producing a lot of output!
Having done a fair bit of racing, where the cars' engines would be overhauled every other race, the fact modern cars are going to 2 year servicing intervals terrifies me!
I can't remember which GT3 owners manual i was reading, but Porsche have specific guidance on replacement suspension/hub components when using the car on track. I plan to apply the same logic to the whole car.

Mileage is irrelevant.
It needs a rebuild if its broken and that should be the only reason.
My GT2 had 84k miles on it
My GT3 had 60k miles on it albeit it was more rattly than the above.
My present 996 Turbo has got 94-95k miles on and is the smoothest fastest car ive ever owned.
I think the more they are used the better they become.

Yes, a turbo that recently sold in Sweden was listed at low miles. It had 60k miles on it But of course even in Europe the lower miles cars command more money, it's just they don't care as much as here. Need to change the family car and told the mrs I'd get her a XC90 with 80-90k miles on them as they are superb value here. She almost fainted :-DNobody else seems to raise an eyebrow.

You'll need a big blower to do that or some very juicy fuel, I was running a bar of boost at 10.5:1 and only managed 600 at the flywheel.Why so low, are you switching to Turbo ?
