Best 'Wet Weather' Tyres for 991.2 GT3
Discussion
I believe the reason some Porsche Centres won't fit PS4s is that they're unaware that the Porsche Approved Tyre List for the GT3 has been amended and they are working from the previous, out-of-date list.
The old list had 2 tyres on it, the Cup 2 and the Dunlop Sportmaxx, whereas the amended list now also features the PS4 as an approved tyre for the GT3.
Swindon have confirmed this to be the case and have fitted PS4s to my GT3.

I once became a Hovercraft Pilot in my GT3 on the M40. It was the most terrifying experience in my life and it was only sheer luck that it didn’t end very badly. I’m amazed that Porsche haven't been sued yet. I think it’s going to happen in the future when there’s a big accident. I won’t drive mine in the rain if I can help it.

The Continental Sport Contact 7 has an A rating in the wet where the MPS4S has a rating of B in the wet.
Continental say that they manufacture tyres in N rating for porsche, but I can't see an N rating on the 265/35 R20Y(99) though the 325/30 R21Y (108) sizes is available as an NDO (Porsche) rating ...
Anybody know what NDO means ?
Does anybody have any experience of these ?
Thanks !

Porsche introduced model specific designators during the summer of 2020(?).
ND 0 = N rating (as before), D is for Panamera, 0 (zero) the iteration number.
NA ...........992 models
NB .......... 718
NC .......... Cayenne
ND ..........Panamera
NE .......... Macan
NF ..........Toaster

The NDO tyres are N rated but designed for the Panamera. That's why there's no size to fit front wheel of GT3 RS.The Continental Sport Contact 7 has an A rating in the wet where the MPS4S has a rating of B in the wet.

Strangely, not all 325 widths are the same.
The 325/30 R21Y NDO tyre for instance are designed to fit a 11.5 inch wide wheel whereas the 325/30 R21Y N rated Cup 2 is designed to fit a 12.5 inch wide wheel.
The actual tyre tread width physically measured on a Pilot S4S is 11.5 inches but a Cup 2 is 12.8 (and a Dunlop Sportmaxx2 is 12.3 IIRC).
The Pilot S4S in 325 is stretched to buggery on a GT3 RS rim. I'm guessing the Conti will be the same. It doesn't look right but might not matter.
