thing is with a SOR car you are going to go in as a buyer at least £10k off the price and hope for >£5k off

the choice is such some one will say yes, esp those who are selling who got cars at list new.

or put up a wanted add at £129k for one to stop the seller losing 8 to 15% commission fee's.
that could also tempt some one to take it off SOR and sell it to you for more than they would get.

As many have said trade buy outs in full are not going to be high atm and people might want the money.

AS for OPC deals, you might have to wait till the last week in Sept now, but summers will be over, RS will be here and dealers will need to make the 1/4 figures look good.

you could get one as OPC trade price if they are still sticking in Sept.

your quote (misquote) looked liked I said people were getting £20k of sticker price ;-) as you cut the end off.
Apologies - genuinely didn't do that on purpose - fat fingers + small iPhone ! Listen don't want to fall out with anyone over this , I guess it's just all getting a bit tedious - no less so than when people were ramping up prices - I just think it's a shame as it's such a great car - I'd love to hear what the new owners think of it but I bet they're worried about posting on here as the environment is a bit hostile smile

I'm genuinely not being controversial and antagonistic here - that's a good idea - why don't you put up a spec of what you want , what you'd genuinely be willing to pay and you never know someone might PM you. SOR cars are just that - I.E you can withdraw from sale whenever you like , so you never know someone might meet you where you want to be ?

I really do think you should buy one as I have to say , I've never seen the desire to own a car burn as bright as it is with you - what have you got to loose ?

It's just a GT3 price thread nothing more.

I would like to try one for a short time, but I have a GT4 coming in 3 months now, and would rather a 458 or a MP12 for that sort of money, so it's a bit down the list of "next car to buy" for me.

Fair enough - I hope that you enjoy the "4" . BTW , genuine question ; if you are not interested in owning one (or at least only after a few other things ) why are you so obsessed with how much they are worth ? I'm genuinely intrigued ??

Congrats. Refreshing to see people just getting on with it. This thread is otherwise full of people who can't afford them trying to talk them down, otherwise why are we on page 27 talking about gt3 prices!
Because some owners keep coming back to this thread to talk them up! Good luck with your sale.
What sale? Are you just making all this up?
So will you keep yours on a long term basis in addition to the 991RS?

about right I guess, but it's not really winding people up, most of what I have posted has been true and we are just following prices in a price thread.

It's an interesting thread, my advice imo is sound if buyers are after a car under todays prices.
If it were me I would be going in very hard end Sept to OPC cars. it's not long to wait.
yes all cars drop in price (close to all cars) but why buy a car which will be cheaper by £5k in a month today ?

991 is a very odd car price wise so hence why it's interesting to follow.

I agree its an interesting thread to follow but I must admit my reasons for doing so are purely selfish as I would like to buy one but I don't want to pay over the odds IF the prices are falling. I'm also interested on the prices affecting the 997 GT3.

I guess its like house prices 7 years or so ago, there are bargains to be had but its entirely dependent on the circumstances and desperation of the vendor.

It is a question, nothing to make up.

Well, I have no idea as I've not driven the RS yet.

So, back to the question, was 30something just making it up? Sounds like it to me.

Sellers talk the prices up
Buyers talk the prices down

It has always been the case in a free market economy.

Some people who don't fit into either group just want to be antagonistic and watch the world burn! biggrin

"Did see" , not "need see" - it's bad enough you keep spouting this rubbish - but if you must persist , please can you work on your spelling / sentence structure - cheers smile

At what price though? Reckon it will be significantly less than £156k as owners realise they won't shift and are just looking for a way out with a small profit...after all, they've not bought these cars to enjoy them, just flip!

What price did it sell for (if you don't mind me asking)?
