I see a gt3 in the classifieds with an asking price now starting with a 5.
Sign of things to come?
For the right (i.e. wrong) spec then very possibly. An effect of the present market may be to drag all prices lower, but it could also increase the spread between best and worst examples.

Anyone who bought any GT car thinking it was an investment is likely a bit twitchy right now, although most peoples equity investments are probably doing little better. hehe

Not looked in detail but a white clubbie with 60k miles that was previously sold by 911V (mentioned in the ad) doesn't look a poor spec.

Also interesting to see 911V mentioned as a positive attribute of the car!!

it has 60k miles so hence the price.

LIke I said in my other post you get to know mile cut offs and values for models 60k miles on porkers is bad news for price.

but a nice buy for some one to get in cheaper to the GT market.

for some reason 30k and 60k then 100k all make massive price drops.

Just looked at it; this is the car you need.

It's a decent spec and price. I've only ever heard good things about Ashgoods - someone correct me if I am wrong here? It would seem to be priced to move, so I am guessing there is an unfortunate situation forcing sale. I doubt it will stick around too long.

I think it's expensive for 60k miles.

I saw this car yesterday also. Briefly did the mental exercise of swapping with the GT4 but concluded that although the engine is great… the rest of the car is too old for me.
If you’re new into the market though this is a great buy… can easily manage the mileage, it’s a great car to be used. Looks lovely.

At 60k, the only thing I'd be wondering is the gearbox; if it works okay, then fine. Engine should be okay at that.

Stop being a numpty. You said 5 minutes ago that 4000 miles a year is about what these cars do. The cars is 13 years old. Do the maths.....

When you put it that way Juliet it’s not a massive amount of miles in 13 years.

you buy it then ;-)

many things play a part in ownership and pricing, stop being a numpty, I hate SM some times argue or ague effect.

60k miles is a massive miles milestone on porkers, it is what it is. And for that miles I would not pay £60k for it.

rather pay £70k for one with 25k miles. Knowing I have 35k miles in hand before the big price corrections.

the cars above ave miles by 2 years and over priced it's that simple as are the maths ;-)

I wouldn't call it a bargain. Look within this very forum and years back people were talking about buying 997.1 GT3s for mid to high 50s, and they won't have had 60,000 miles on the clock.

In the end I bottled it and got a 718 GT4 this year as I was offered an allocation. These cars are old now, over 10 years old. Things will go wrong and it won't b cheap, and unlike the GT4, there's no warranty to lean on.

For a car with 60,000 that has probably since some fair use, I'd want to be drowned in paperwork showing invoices for everything, because at that mileage - for a track focused car - you're going through the whole suspension at least. And, of course, are those original PCCB discs.

Obviously market conditions are currently unusual but I recently sold my 38k mile speed yellow 997.1 CS for well over £80k. It sold at JZM in 2 days. Based on that the white CS is not an expensive car.

I think a different market to the latest and fastest trinket and, like air cooled cars have limited supply.

I wonder where prices will be in another 6 months for those that are motivated to sell?
