Over the next 12 months the 991 gt car could be the one which helps correct the current overheated pricing. T
Not sure if he 991 GT3 is fully representative of the market, but is an easy one to follow.

Would an OPC buy one for stock right now, and if so what would they offer? That's a sensible entry price for a anyone keen on buying the amazing 991 GT3.
I would be shocked if any dealer will actually put there cash out on a 991gt3 at the moment. I bet they would try and steal it off you if they put a trade bid on it. I would imagine the majority for sale are SOR or long term stock which has been held for a number of months. Interesting times for anyone looking to buy IMO

What are peoples thoughts on the Porsche GT market over the next 12 months?

In my opinion with the number of 991 cars being offered for sale at the moment this will slowly reduce the prices.

If a quality low milage spec 991 cars fall towards list price this will have an impact on the 997 and 996 cars.
...yawn...how long are you intending to beat this particular drum....? Right, lots of gt cars for sale, anyone with any kind of interest is aware of that and yes there inevitably puts pressure on prices. The incessant talking up of values by some not so long ago was (very) tiring but it's getting every bit as tiring the other way by those who keep on doing so as well.

It's just odd as I have never seen a car drop so fast every week in price.

Still mega money over list though so it does not affect org owners 1 bit bar missing out on £50k in their back pocket.
As long as they are over list it,s still amazing.

None of the GT cars to me are worth the money over a £75k GT4 and that's the issue a lot of people in the market are now getting GT4's, no buyers left for older stock at prices 40% to rich., added to that RS owners selling GT3 as well.

Good post, the GT4 has brought the word value back to GT cars.

This thread is perhaps predictably becoming almost as amusing and tiring as certain smaller sections of the main and infamous 991 GT3 thread!...:.hehe:

Reference has been made to similar longstanding hopes of a 458 price ' crash' which never materialised much to potential dreamers buyers frustration. Interesting talking to one of the 'biggest' and reliable OPC buyers of GT Porsches on Thursday who think this' temporary slight softening of the market' for better spec cars will be followed by a reduction in the number for sale and hardening of prices especially as the first OPC RS and GT4 appear. At c £250k for the RS the GT3 would be too cheap at c£150k. Is there really a £100k difference between the cars. Probably not.

Most on here specced higher spec cars anyway.....and most appear to have kept theirs....including me hopefully for a considerable time yet....can't really think of anything that comes close apart from the Speciale maybe...driving

Although 'value' may not apply having regard to the likely premium UK cars will attract.......

Agreed, but that is an unknown. If Porsche release more cars into the exchange favourable UK market, then a smaller if any premium.

That car at circa £70k to £75k is stonking value, with minimal downside even with the market as was prior to the tide rising so fast.

If the car was £10k more expensive at list, it would still have sold in the UK but perhaps not in Europe.

As stated before peter I would like to buy a Porsche GT as a weekend toy, but not willing to buy into a market which in my opinion over heated. I'm quite happy to wait, it's not all bad pete there's a 997s and a macan sat on the drive to put a smile on my face for the time being.
Two nice cars indeed, you are banging on a bit bit about values going to drop though, maybe they will, maybe they won't , maybe they will keep going up, let's face it the 991 keeps coming down but looking through the classifieds the 997 is still going up???

I don't know, dont much care, and if you just waited till the price was right for you nobody would criticize your posts, but at the moment your posts are like a reverse Apollo1.

Anyway my ship sailing post was meant in a lighthearted manner and I'm not here to make enemy's , enjoy the cars you have, is the 997 PDK or Manuel?

I find certain people's replies very odd on here!

These threads are about values, why read them or even bother to take the time to reply if you find them boring?

Let's face facts 99% of cars loose value, my gen 2 pdk and macan have both lost me money smile

As others posters have mentioned the gt market has more cars for sale than buyers atm.

The gt market has changed, a lot of people are to afraid to track them because they are worried about there future value being effected!

IMO prices are looking like they are going to drop back over the next 12 months.

If you are not interested in future values or find my posts boring please don't waste your time to reply.
