Broke my T on my 7GTS rear badge so took the opportunity to personalise a little.

Hope this might help someone else who needs to replace a broken rear badge.

The new badge from Porsche comes as Carrera GTS so you can’t buy the GTS on its own.

First step was to template the original position

Did it “hinged” with masking tape so I could lift it up and remove the old badge.

Then removed the old badge (hair dryer to heat a little the dental floss)

Removed the remains of the badge sticky stuff (wd40 believe it or not, plus some spray wax with a clay bar)

Quick compound to get back to mirror shine then some panel wipe to get surgically clean.

Fold down the template ready to go

Used masking tape on the front of the new GTS badge to hold it correctly together (bit harder than Carrera badge as each character is separate). Remove the backing and stick it all down

Put some wax back on the paint as it was all removed in the removal process and happy with the result

That looks very neat and subtle.
I really don’t like the rear cluttered with too much badging. It’s like wearing designer clothing with huge logos nono
And as for aftermarket stickers on the doors rolleyes
Agreed on the rear clutter. It’s even worse on the 991’s. I dont mind the side stickers too much (which is better on the 991 with just a GTS) but think the simple rear end works well, especially with the wide bodybiggrin
