Well you are in a helpful mood this morning Mr Noble smile

Upgrade options? if I remember this kicked off something earlier in the thread that made my eyes glaze over but what the concencus you can get it done to baffles open levels? I used to always run the S with the baffles open but I wouldnt want it any louder or to ruin the harmonics of the standard note.

Going to see the Southern Sky car on 28/9/15.

Why is this car cheaper than most Cayman R's?

Hi, this car was mine, it is a prime example and unique regarding the interior detailing and spec, I would go for it. Lastly, I have now sold my Cayman R, 61 plate with 16000 miles, with all the right extras for £38000.

2 down, 1 Cayman R in black left, won't be selling my black one soon as it is just above delivery miles.

I was confused reading this thread - you were connected with the Southern Sky car but then said yours was for sale with 16,000 miles.

Now I understand you had 3 Cayman R's it makes even less sense! Haha.

Anything I should know about the white Cayman at Southern? I understand you sold it to them for £36,000 - is that correct?

To stop the confusion, I somehow ended up with 3 Cayman Rs.

They are struggling with it because of the mileage. Just a tad high. I suspect if you dont buy it they will be on the phone to me but I dont think its the one for me. Reselling with 35+k on it isnt a heartwarming prospect.

Still using mine everyday, love it smile only frustration being our ever-congested roads mean I hardly ever get the chance to stretch its lively legs, grrr.

Anyone in Kent or Surrey with PSE on their R? (or the Carnewal GT exhaust) I would really like to hear it in action from the cabin as I am still very tempted to get it fitted at an OPC but keep reading conflicting accounts about how worth doing it is on an R. Having heard mine from the outside I would say it sounds pretty tasty stock but wouldn't mind a bit more aggressive sounds to match the rpm inside the cockpit, though love the howling intake behind my ears.
There is a good youtube vid where the guy in an R demos the PSE on and off but I get the feeling he has the door open whilst stationary revving so doesn't give a clue to internal 'running' sounds.

Sounds mighty fine externally here too:-

Hi
I am near Reigate in Surrey. You are welcome to listen to my PSE in my manual R or I have the spare key to a friends PDK R again with PSE (not sure if yours is Man or PDK).

I'm in Surrey and have a PSE on my R - although we'll have to be careful not to get our cars mixed up if we do get together :-)

Where are you based?

I'll be at Bedford on 14 November if you fancy coming along - then you can hear the PSE at full chat :-)

Thanks for the offers guys. I live near Brands hatch/Wrotham in Kent and work in Sevenoaks so not too far to nip into surrey along the M26/m25.
What do you guys think of PSE from within the car? Got any GoPro or similar footage from inside?

Good choice of colour MDT. Bedford eh, could be tempted along smile

I turn the PSE off for the static noise test but have it on when lapping at Bedford. Only had a warning once in the Cayman R, the PSE on my old C2S seemed to cause me more noise issues on track. And annoyingly on that one I couldn't have Sport mode without the PSE on, since the Sport button activated it automatically!

It's only £129 for an open pit lane day on the full GT circuit in November - in fact it was only £99 when I booked, which was unbelievable for a Saturday! Fingers crossed for the weather, but I've done a day in November at Bedford for the past few years and it has always been dry and bright - here's hoping.

There are a couple of others from this very thread already signed up, and I'm assuming that cmoose will be attending depending on what he's driving by then :-)

we should do the how fast day for £75 and then it's timed, far more fun as Bedford is dull imo.
