Depends what you class as a spec I guess..

I've not seen another car close to the spec of mine since I bought mine 18 months ago (Manual, spyder wheels Sports Chrono, buckets, xenons, short shift, alcantara wheel, PSE, soundpackage +, Climate control, bluetooth etc). Only thing mine hasn't got that a lot of people want is PCM, but sadly thats what you want.

White and Peridot seem to be the most desirable colours.
Another example is this one that sounds similar to your car, but has PCM but no PSE;

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2014...

That car was £42,950 not long ago, and is still under Porsche warranty. This car can be bought for £39k. This is why when people say "good spec cars are selling for £42-£43k" I'm struggling to see where thats happening thats all smile

Time of year obviously plays a part in this and no more so than now.

Ask Porsche how much a Stripe is you will be shocked £900 !!!

ANd it's PDK, no leather etc

the white Cayman R with the spec sold in 2 hours for well over £40k or it was up for more than the buyer got it for, "Daniel" bought it at a undisclosed price.

the Paragon car is a lot of cash for a car with NO PSE as 2nd hand buyers see PSE as a must have and cannot be arsed to fit one.
fit a PSE to that car and it's >£46k

Porsche don't even have a Manual with bucket seat car for sale, the OPC's sell them straight away. I know OPC have names down, many don't even make it to the sales pages and are sold off book.

none of the cars listed at an OPC are great and none of the ones on PH are apart from the GT silver one with turbo wheels.

you have missed out on the 2 or 3 good cars which have come up the last 2 months and they have been selling mid £40's even the PCCB car you turned down
has that sold now ?

GT silver looks great in real life, add the Spyder wheels and you easy be able to move it on also, BUY IT TODAY ;-)

Exactly that - no stripe and PDK.

Trust me, I've not missed out on anything I didn't want.

If you are referring to the White car that Porsche Solihull had for sale, that had horrible red lips painted on to the wheels and no PCM. I wouldn't have bought it no matter what the price was....

Porsche Glasgow had a manual Peridot car with no PCM that another PH'er bought after 10 days of haggling apparently, so not exactly flying out the door.

Even at £900 for a stripe, the white NI car is still under £40k.

The car with PCCB's is probably my only regret really but then that was because it was offered to me on the day Porsche Solihull said they could get me in a GTS by the end of the year, which a week later became Feb 2015 by which time the car had gone to the dealer.

Trust me, I'm not trying to talk prices down I'll be an owner myself next week, I'm just not seeing the cars being sold as quickly as people think they are or for the money people seem to want for their cars currently.

you will have to wait for mine or offer me an amount I cannot refuse then, it just has every thing :-)
If only I knew the true cost and spec of the GT4 I could make a choice on selling it now.

I think some might be missing the point of Cayman R is a true drivers car trying to keep weight down to as low as possible.
I certainly would not discount a car without PCM a decent Tom Tom with lifetime updates works well for when needed for about £150 quid.

NO PSE geta Gert Carnewal sports exhaust for a fraction of the cost.

Think i have said before your buying a used car not specing new, so set a few rules of what options you want and be prepared to be a little fleaxable other wise you would never buy one.

I wanted full leather but i was flexable with the R i bought as it is a superb car.You might get one thing or the other not all your want list.

What more does a R need Man box, Buckets, lightweight spider wheels,Chrono,
PSE,mine also has A/C & a radio bit of alcantara black painted wheels
bought with 10 k on the clock last year.
Best Porsche i have ever bought buy now or regret it prices are going up and will continue to do so.

I'm too impatient to wait.

I'm buying a car next week, my M3 is going soon after, just got to decide which one.

If you read my posts you'll see that I've done exactly that!

White/Peridot/Red car
PCM,PSE

Everything else I'm entirely flexible on!

Not overly bothered about Xenon, full extended leather, PDK/Manual, mileage, price, Buckets, Chrono etc etc etc

Not surprising at that price with no buckets or decals.

Or PSE laugh

This was my point that some sales, even from OPC's, seem to be a little speculative in the hope that the "hype" will convince someone to spend £45k on it......

Confident a dealership would pit decals on to secure a sale...

I'm sure they would be the buckets and PSE are a bigger issue really and the mileage isn't exactly super low at that price......

Can't wait till this is over and I have a car laugh

I honestly dont see an issue if the perfect R became available without PCM
Lots of Rs dont have a huge spec thats the whole point of being a lightweight car is it not.Tom Tom or a Map much lighter lol
Maybe its just me but good luck searching I have seen a few good ones slip through the net because of no PCM.
I thought Cameron sports cars peridot one was a gem.

Had many Porsches with and without PCM cant say I rate or miss Porsches PCM

I think PCM simply ages a car.

In 3 years time it will seem old, in 7 years time it will be ancient, and in 10 years time it will be a nuisance smile
