Admiral didn't ask for a tracker, so hopefully will pay the quote and have an insurance next week with no tracker required.

Yes, because mine will be arriving tomorrow at dealer. biggrin

My salesman has been so accurate so far. Wonderful.

Hi Cibble10/TDT

Absolutely no drilling (well, I can't see any) - just clips, all of which are removable. Fitted free on site - coffee free. Zunsport even supplied spare clips in case a grille requires removal for any reason.
Non-invasive surgery: discrete -simples! All for <£350, incl. rear engine grilles - a must! What's not to like?

Other manufacture's products are also available: just in case you think I'm an employee of Zunsport, which I'm not. I'm just a happy bunny with the puppies private's of an upgrade that doesn't carry the baggage of extra wonga for OPCs exuding excessive profit from every pore.

Happy motoring.
Agreed. BUT. The top of the 3 per side in the front screws into the plastic (as it is a blank on the S). I didnt bother fitting this, and did the middle and bottom only.

Thanks chaps. Will give this some more thought. Am still thinking less obtrusive/more discrete. I wonder if anyone has experienced or heard of other options?

I fitted Zunsport grilles to my 987 and plan to put them on my 981. There's a 15% discount code which seems to work - Google for details.

I used some small cable ties rather than use screws into the plastic and as they were black against black they didn't show up obtrusively.

In traditional PH pedant mode can I point out that any grille will be discrete, even if it's dayglo pink chicken wire, though that would not be discreet.

Hi everyone, I've just sold my 2013 Cayman S and am about to take delivery of a new Cayman GTS, on my S I had mobile phone prep and on this one I stupidly spec'd the one above mobile phone prep. Can I still use this as just a Bluetooth module and will it work the same or is it going to lock my phone into a Sap mode?

Thanks

Ollie

So my car has this full phone thing and it actually drives me nuts (first world problems)

It connects over bluetooth and works fine, but takes full control of the phone so I cant pick the phone up (stationary smile ) and dial, and any txt messages that come in go onto PCM and never make it to the phone when I leave the car.

You can force it out of this mode into just normal bluetooth mode but I havent worked out how to do this (Samsung Galaxy S4).

I suspected it would do that which I also don't want. I know it can be changed at the dealer but is it possible to do our selves?

Thanks

The sports exhaust on the GTS is slightly different compared to the optional one on the S - I think it may be a general change to MY2015 though? the boxes are slightly smaller - has been observed by some tuners in the US.

Interesting. I have the same phone and module but had not considered the text or pick up issue so hadn't registered these would be problems... Some delving required it seems as my nearest OPC is across water!

Peter.g,

Thanks for the correction, silly me. Aah, the wonders of auto spell check, who'd have it?

Pedant not - I'm not too old to learn from someone with a superior skill set.

It's interesting that you have used zip-ties for the front upper side grilles, mine haven't been fitted as yet, due to an issue with manufacturing tolerances for bumpers with & without front parking sensors. I await a modified set next week & would be grateful for a heads up on your no-screws fitting regime.

Many thanks

I was fortunate enough to get to spank one of these around the track the other day, I have to say I was really REALLy impressed with it! Cracking little car, the balance was amazing and you can control it right out to the lockstops and back to straight with no snap in it atall, as controlled to slide as a go-kart on a polished concrete floor!

Hi there

The tipping point for compulsory Cobra is £75K if taking Porsche Insurance, whom I found to be giving a fair quote on a pretty comprehensive package which includes cover for 2 track days per year.

My OPC quoted well north of £1K to install & activate Cobra!!
I've just paid for mine to be fitted to the car as its a insurance requirement for me, as will be using A-Plan insurance.

Also on the subject of the grills, do they have one for cars equipped with the ACC option? If so, ill get some orders now ready for its arrival.

Hi Rxpandy,

Sorry but I haven't a clue on ACC & middle grille compatibility, but I'm sure this guy will know - Peter.langston@zunsport.co.uk

Take care
