26 gt4 cars currently for sale on piston heads and only one car being sold by an opc. I wonder how long before Porsche uk will allow the car flippers back into there showrooms?
Some in the showrooms, just not advertised, and Porsche will allow them to be advertised again when they meet the criteria stipulated.
I was in the Bristol OPC on Friday & they had a white GT4 with black decals, I think was approx. £106,000 but wouldn't swear on it...

Very selectively.

New 'by invitation only' system is intended to preclude flippers or suspected flippers of recent halo or GT cars as determined by Porsche GB and or OPC. Only those 'suitable and qualifying' past customers will be allocated a build slot.

To me this seems like a worse policy than just not having a policy. Effectively what they seem to be saying is that unless you're a) an existing customer of Porsche GT cars and b) can afford to keep them, you can't have a new one.

However, as has been said hundreds of times on here already, if it is able to prevent the reoccurrence of Flipgate then it's probably beneficial in the long-term.

Has anyone actually sold one recently (or specifically know of one sold), and if so do you mind sharing the price

advertised prices seem to be all over the place.....

No-one can buck the market! Even if genuine only buyers get a car, occasionally some will be for sale, all be it fewer. Will this not increase the price?
Increasing supply is the only option, whether they're willing or able to is another matter!

It is harder to buy a Ferrari or a LT or even a Rolex Daytona than a GT4.
Not sure what the issue is, it's always been the same, I bet we see the new Rolex Daytona up at £15k for a £8k watch.

The only way to stop all this is not limiting the cars, just make them full production models.
Ask a Rolex dealer about a Daytona and they will say 5 year wait.
Ask about getting a ltd Ferrari or a LT mcclarren it's impossible with no past history.

I understood it to be 12 months old or a specific mileage, but someone told me the other day that it only whilst the car is still in production. Haven't quite got to the bottom of it tbh!

Untrue. It was not an issue to order a 675 well past the Geneva launch date last year. Getting a gt4 allocation was a heck of a lot more involved.

The nonsense is that they're still for sale in dealers showrooms with prices on the windscreen so what's the point exactly

I guess it's complicated - all this does is push the flippers to the indies and I guess , stops people doing it more than once as if you do this you have no collateral left when the next GT that you fancy comes along - "New 991.2 GT3 sir , certainly if I can trade it against your 991 RS ; what you don't have it anymore , well in that case , no new GT3" .

If you still have the RS and want to keep it , you still have a shout as you haven't flipped it and there is more chance of one of them going back to the dealer - all if this is fair enough IMHO .
What I do think is bonkers is someone trying to sell their car in a dealer who can't advertise it - the sale just isn't going to happen (unless you are very lucky or you give it away) .

So I guess there is some logic in all of this - maybe ???

Cheers smile

This one sold in the last week http://www.top555.co.uk/stock/details/Porsche-Caym...

I can't remember the price but I think it was circa £105k, sold the same day it went on the website.

You can do worse that follow dealers Twitter feeds as a way of keeping an eye on the market.

Back by popular demand (!!!!), latest 'for sale' update.

Cars available across Pistonheads and Autotrader platform, 29 (excludes duplicates)

New entries from (Private), Nick Whale, John Holland, Romans, Imperial, Royles Jaguar, OPC Brooklands and Clinkard.

Reductions from Top555 (White) £99,995 to £97,995, William Loughran (Blue) £104,990 to £99,950 and Aston Martin (Dark Blue) £111,950 to £108,950

Interestingly a couple of increases from Redline (Agate Grey) £103,990 to £104,990 and Motorhouse of Shipley (Agate Grey) £99,995 to £104,995

We have only 3 no longer showing from my last update a couple of weeks ago, including the Private seller in Falkirk (White) £93,995, OPC Aberdeen (Agate Grey) £99,000 and Centurion Cars (White) £109,995. Two of these have basic Sports Seats, one had everything! *no confirmation if these sold, were just removed from PH/AT, or have been returned to their owners - if you bought one, let me know.

We have a slight drop in the average to £101,421 but a small increase in the number of cars now trading in the £90k range; the £114,995 car from 911sport is holding the average up and has been advertised since mid-March!

Only 4 with clubsport.

Colours are Agate Grey (4), Black (4), Dark Blue (1), Red (4), Sapphire Blue (4), Viper Green (1), White (9), Yellow (2) *no indication of what colour sells the best, but we know some colours are faster than others.

really would have thought that Viper green would have sold quite fast.

One can never tell !

The Top555 car did not even make it on the for sale page and was sold on twitter.

Agreed, as the spec is good. I reckon if it hits high £90k, it will immediately sell, but I guess they are holding firm for now based on its uniqueness.

IMHO, and of course it's only an opinion, the Top555 car looked considerably underpriced at £105K - Clubsport, PCCB, coherent internal and external appearance (Black/Yellow stealth look), delivery miles - I'm not surprised it went within the day.
