Managed to fit the Zunsport mesh to the fronts of my GTS today, and the lower outer one certainly is fairly tricky to locate. I think the instruction to fit the outer end first is wrong though. I tried that for 20 minutes without success then tweaked the hook on the inner end, hooked that in place and then by slightly squeezing the grill into place agains the clip fitted first (acts as a stop) it was fairly simple to position the outer lower tab in place and push the second clip over it.

The upper outer and central grill are fairly easy, apart from the hook end of the inner grill is tricky to make sure it is fully engaged on the trim as it's a tight fit.

The nature of the flexible plastic aperture against a fixed wire framed grill means it is never going to look completely snug, but credit to Zunsport I think they've done a great job, it must have taken a lot of trial and error.

Am I happy with them? Not really, a neighbour with a 981 Boxster popped over and he thought they looked perfect. It's when you've fitted them and know the detail intimately that you can't help but see the flaws. I suppose I will be happy if they stay in place when I'm scaring myself at Spa in April and I don't get a punctured rad.

My experience of removing factory bumpers is that they very rarely go back exactly as factory fitted, so this will have to do until my GT4 order comes in. (Yeah, right).
Not for me this mod. I so much prefer the original look and happy to hoover out the leaves. But then I did order mine with the shiny black gloss trim and it just looks fabulous as is.

Congratulations Jay - the special day has come at last, enjoy! I would never have had the patience to wait so long - mine has only 1200 miles done but it's wonderful, every journey is special. Looking forward to better weather, looks like winter isn't prepared to let go just yet.

Hi Giby, I'm in Norfolk too and just ordering a set for my CGTS this week. If you fancy pooling efforts message me and perhaps we can help each other sort the fitting out?
Hi Rob.
I wouldn't mind getting together to try to get these fitted. I've got a large garage so if you fancy meeting up just pm me. I must say part of my problem if only have 1 arm so it was never going to be easy for me.

Messaged you Giby, PM me if you don't receive it. It's one of those jobs that is difficult enough with 10 digits, hate to say it must be impossible with only 5.

Happy to come over and help, as long as the gritters haven't been out the night before I'll bring mine over and you can see how they look before committing.

Spoke to my dealer today and my build date has pushed out from March to week 15, so sometime during the week of the 11th of April, so I will be getting it in winter, best case June, most likely July. It still looks to be going ahead with folding buckets which is good.

It must be getting close to the end of the 981 production run, if anybody finds out when they are ceasing building these, please post it up.

Very soon I believe, if not already... I placed an order at Guildford towards the end of Jan and 'apparently' got the very last spec'able Cayman GTS

They said there was a few still in West London but other than that all gone...

Due to pick up from factory in May smile

I placed an order for CGTS with West london at the beginning of Feb, because they were the only ones that had a build slot that wasn't frozen. At the time, the slot i managed to get was the last slot they had. Mayfair didn't have any. I don't know if they have been given more slots since then. Just so others can compare, i have a build date of 29th March. Very excited!

Quick question for the track day people, I'm looking to get a few booked up this year. However, how does the GTS get on with the noise limits? As I am looking to book Brands, Bedford and Silverstone.

Wow, that's pretty lucky and fast... I put my deposit down at the end of August and mine is due completion on the 9th!

The only days I have done so far in the GTS are 105 DB days and at Goodwood I was pulled aside as I was just on the limit on their drive by mics. Turned the PSE off and was fine for the rest of the day. With PSE off it was still showing 102 static. Saying that Goodwood are notorious....

Might be a bit wary with a 98 day.

With PSE on I have tested way above 105 dB everywhere (109 at silverstone!) but you can switch it off, rev gently in normal mode during testing and short shift on the straights to avoid being in too much trouble. If it's a windy day you'll be fine as trackside measuring equipment apparently doesn't do too well in heavy winds - so at snetterton I ran with PSE and had no trouble.

I'd avoid anything with a 98 or 102 dB limit if you don't want to fit downturn tips or feel on tenterhooks all day!

Lol, so did I, apparently (but not from Guildford). After last minute panic and LOTS of calls early feb after Leeds let me down, got late May build date, spec locks next week I think.

Hello everyone

I am new to the forum and new to Porsche as well. I will be receiving my first Porsche sometime late May at the Atlanta PEC. I have done tons of research and watched just about every video there is trying to decide on the car I wanted. Originally I wanted to get a GT4 however its a tad out of my pricerange at the moment with it selling at MSRP or above.

I did end up getting an allocation for a GTS and ordered the following spec. I do plan on keeping this car for a while (longer than 5 years) and expect it to be my daily driver for the most part. With my alternative being a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel.

I needed to keep it at 85k with discount so adding and subtracting eventually got me where I needed to be. Would have liked all the gauges in Beige as well but couldn't justify the $1200.

Anyway, with 200 pages of forum reading, and me currently on page 22 I got a while to catch up. However, I wanted to stop in and say hello and share my excitement as I wait till the end of May.
