Can't believe an OPC is selling one with that ste on the back.

Good luck to Cambridge though, if this carries on the first used £50k Spyder can't be far off - especially white, Spyder alloys, manual, buckets, sports chrono and sports exhaust. Hmmm, where could I find me one of those...

Spyder wheels are about £4.5k.

The kit on the Cambridge car is IMHO an irrelevance on a Spyder. Mileage seems to be its best feature.

I only paid around that for mine new almost 4 years ago!

Turbo IIs are a popular alternative. They are a nice wheel in their own right, but are too bling for the car imho. Apparently they are a different width or offset which would affect the handling.

Possibly so but I'm not sure the used Spyder market does. People seem to want the wheels, seats, gears of their choice and sports exhaust and possibly sports chrono but everything else (or the absence of) is just an added bonus.

It seems some that are optioned up are for sale / sold for less than some that are option light.

No rhyme or reason, and it seems there's no definitive value on Spyder's at the moment.

You say that, but the ones 911V had in stock were quite cheap.

Bucket seats are harder to get into, but when you do, they grip you tighter and are more enjoyable. They heighten the sense of the car bucking about beneath you.
Love them on my 911, would not have wanted them on my Boxster.

Can't beat heated seats on a cold morning or 3am blast through the welsh mountains where it can get really nippy. Strangely, women seem to prefer the buckets and find them more comfortable and found the heated seats gave them mild nausea.

Could have been my aftershave though....

not sure what having them on a Boxster proves, every one wants heated seats on a normal Boxster. The Spyder is whole new ball game, the roof putting the normal Boxster owner right off esp women. oem fitment was a bucket seat because of the concept of the car, take them out and the concept is 1/2 gone.

Yep, real men freeze to death at 3am in the welsh mountains to maintain the concept and they almost cook to death on the drive to the south of france because of no-aircon I salute them all. Not for me though.

I'll bite. It's a flicking lightweight Boxster not a Caterham or even a Lotus. It weighs how much? About 1200kg? I don't think aircon or heated seats will make a blind bit of difference. We are talking about 1bhp per tonne difference...

The weight saving is even more negated when there's 16st in the drivers seat whistle

I've driven mine through the Welsh mountains at -5 degrees C and don't have heated seats - the heater's good enough - other than taking the initial chill off cold leather I don't think they make that much difference?

I like aircon though but as I am only 12 stone that's ok ;-)
