grim!
It's a proper marmite colour isn't it. This is the 991 GTS they had in their last year http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/p...

The 991 was in their showroom for three or four months last year...one bloke put a deposit down and then took his wife to see it who said he couldn't have it! I do think it's great that they have the balls to order these cars to put in the showroom.
Re PASM, I was under the impression that PASM is firmer than non-PASM regardless of mode (normal mode firms up when pressing on, or manoeuvring) I think it would have to be if it rides on lower springs. Again, the demo I drove had 20" wheels, no PASM and rode fine, and we specifically took it onto some of the bumpy cross-country lanes.
Stance looks good on PASM, but I'm not convinced it's necessary for road use.

Nothing scientific, just my personal opinion...Stance looks good on PASM, but I'm not convinced it's necessary for road use.
I've had a 981 Boxster as my DD for the last 2.5yrs, 20" alloys no PASM. I was perfectly happy with the ride.
However, even the short distance I've driven my new 718 (20" alloys with PASM) the ride with PASM off (I'm aware it's a continuously variable system) is much softer than my 981. I haven't driven much with PASM on but the firmer ride is still less crashy than my 981.
For what it's worth, the loan car 718 that I drove felt indistinguishable from my 981 - apart from the engine. I think people are searching for minutiae of difference in the chassis which are so tiny they don't really exist at all in the real world. At the end of the day 718 is a subtle update of 981 - with a very different engine.
