I've had a bit of a rethink. Blame some of the extras on posts about delivered 718s (like the carbon dash), but my latest is getting a bit less minimalist:

Cayman base model
Carrara White Metallic
Black Alcantara and leatherette seats
Park assist front and rear
Electric folding mirrors
PASM and PTV
Standard 18" wheels with full colour Porsche crest
Manual box
Cruise control
GT Sports steering wheel
2 zone automatic climate control
Seat heating
Smoking package
Carbon interior (without leather)
Carbon gear lever (yeah, yeah, I know, but the carbon inserts look great, and I reckon I can find £341 to finish the job!)
Digital radio

I'm still torn about Nav and Connect+, not for resale (because I am not about to base a purchase on what someone else might want in the future) but because they may or may not prove useful. Sports seats plus also still a possibility, but winter wheels/tyres only if I see any chance of delivery before winter is over. wink

What else should I have considered apart from a rear wiper...?

Liam...

You may regret not going bigger on the wheels?

I found sport seats plus a little (more) cramped around the shoulders. Looks like a bit of a "cruiser" so how about electric seats?
These give extendable thigh support, seat tilt, lumbar adjustment, electric steering column - more useful than you'd think!

Pulled out of holding deposit 6 weeks ago. Now back trying to get a slot in April.

Looked at ftypes- expensive even with huge discounts and finance high as poor residuals.

If anyone hears of any slots / dealers still offering April let me know

One thing for sure residuals will be very strong!

Me too - it was on the "possibles" list for a long time. But ultimately, I've bottled out. wink

Did you try 20's on the test car? I noticed a huge difference when PASM was added. Was uncomfortable for me without - though my back isn't the toughest
Very conflicting opinions about whether to have PASM on 20" wheels or not. Would PASM make the car feel more planted on the crappy B roads we have in the south of England ? Maybe , plus I like the 10 mm drop in ride height so does it all add up to £900 plus of value. We are also going to get stung by the inevitable price and RFL rise in 2017 but will that mean residuals improve as a result plus the poor supply ?
The only glimmer of hope so far is that nobody else appears to have gone for the Racing Yellow so I will have rarity on my side when it eventually appears !

Base model Cayman
20" S wheels gloss black
Yellow seat belts
Twin exhausts in black
Rear sensors
Model delete
DAB
Folding mirrors
PASM ??

Congratulations to everyone else on their individual choices , can't wait to start seeing a few on the road . By the way I think the 718 sounds like the air cooled 911s .

Back in the very early '90s my Dad had a newish 964 C4, and my big sister had a late '70s 911SC. I accused them both of having cars that sounded like broken chainsaws (but drove either at any opportunity wink). I'm not sure the 718 reminded me of either car that much aurally so far, but I'll listen out for it when my one arrives!

Having spent the day with a 718 recently, I've decided that the Nav system isn't really worth the £1k given my iPhone outperforms it. So... I think I'm just going to spec basic Connect.

However, can anyone confirm if Bluetooth (for calls) comes as standard with the car? When I look at the configurator it seems to suggest you only get Bluetooth if you spec Nav. (Connect is only operable by plugging your phone in).

It seems pretty crazy that in this day and age you need to buy Nav just so you can make calls via Bluetooth!

Can someone tell me how exactly does the miami blue color look outside in the sun? I've seen so many different pics where it looks like baby blue but some people say there's a fair bit of green in the mix. So is it more like tiffany blue or more like riviera blue? Or is it really turquoise where you cant say whether it's green or blue?

Post the best pictures you can find!

Is it really this green?

No, it's not that green, but it's darker than tiffany/daphne blue. If it was more like a tiffany I'd be seriously keen. I haven't seen a photo that captures the actual colour as perceived in daylight on screen.
