CS on the hill at Prescott yesterday
Discussion
Yeah, sorry I didn't see you. I had a 5 year old to try and entertain between runs!!! I will be doing most of the Midland Championship rounds and all the Shelsleys. Yesterday was the first time out with the big engine, and it seemed to go well. Going to run it on slicks at shelsley next weekend, if the weather allows.
Its not that narrow when your on the hill, except in a few places!! Engine has been developed by SVP and my company Westwood Cylinder Liners. We designed the crankcase conversion, they do the engine builds and the tuning side.
There has been a significant increase in power, although we have not had the car on a dyno yet. With all the suspension upgrades and diff, the car handles very well for hillclimbs. Further improvement will come when we fit the super soft hillclimb slicks.

The car has been completely stripped inside, new KW suspension, Lightweight flywheel, Quaife Diff, Full Cage, Cup Cables, Chris Tullett Exhaust, Motordrive Lightweight seats. We have lightweight boot and doors with plexiglass to fit in the next few weeks.
The engine has been converted to 3.9 with Westwood Cylinder Liners, Omega Pistons, Porsche Crankshaft and Carrillo Rods.

Very nice indeed! bet that's alot of fun too drive on track I'm seeing a nice carbon wing on there for a bit more downforce at the rear
For the hillclimbs we do, downforce is not really an issue. If we were to use it on a track then yes i could see the benefit.Edited by evojam on Tuesday 28th April 11:44

Awesome thanks for posting. Could you give a little detail about the lwfw and diff you are running and how it benefits the car? Very interested to know more on those for my cayman s.
When i compete i switch the PSM off and then rely on the diff!! It is very good indeed and on twisty hills like Prescott or Loton it works a treat. I still have to be convinced on the Lightweight Flywheel!! It helps the engine rev a lot more, and once you are moving it is great. But for quick starts it spins up too quickly, and getting fast starts is difficult. Although that may change when we go to the Slicks.Nice photos - thanks for posting.
I'm not an engineer hence this question: I notice from your website that the ductile liners you supply have no coating on them. Is this something that needs to be done prior to fitting?
As an aside, if you want to go the whole-hog on your cayman weight reduction program, there's plenty to choose from here:
