Yes, they do look like sports seats - certainly bigger bolsters than my 1990 Turbo seats. Haven't viewed it yet as the chap was called away for his work, but will update the story when I do.

Not sure sports seats are particularly rare, my 91 turbo has them.

I'm not convinced how rare they actually are myself. But check out the prices they fetch. I think some people out there want to build the ultimate spec cars and so any upgrades fetch big money. I remember this going on in the vw GTi scene many years ago. Nothing was particularly rare. But there were enough people out there building up MK1 and 2 Gti's that prices got very silly. I'm not sure how it is now as I got out of all that a long time ago.

Sports seats with electric motors are quite heavy. I'd like to put mine in the loft and fit a couple of leather Recaro Pole Position seats.
