Best Tyres For Panamera TD

Any tyre recommendations for a 2012 Panamera TD with 20 inch wheels? Mine currently has Pirellis but is steers like a go-kart and follows ridges in the road etc. They also judder badly on full lock in the cold.

The old P Zero is notorious for not ageing well - the compound becomes brittle more quickly than any other tyre I've used resulting in poor grip when cold and hard sidewalls. This combination leads to the jumping on full lock where there isnt enough grip and sidewall flex to resist the Ackermann effect.
The "new PZero" sometimes known as PZ4 or PZero SC is a big step forward - different tread pattern and much improved compound and excellent wet grip. I ran them on the R8 for a couple years with no complaints and that's what I'd be looking at for a Panamera if they are available in your size - they come in 255/40 and 295/35 both 20" if that's your size. You will feel the difference in the first 100 metres.
Michelin PS4S also highly regarded - I havent tried them but I know some owners who find them a bit vague at higher speeds and I can imagine that feeling may be accentuated by the higher sidewall ratio on the Panamera compared to my R8 or a 991.

On both the Panameras I’ve had (GTS and Turbo S), I’ve gone from dealer fitted Pirellis to Yokohamas - all Porsche spec. The Yokohamas are quieter than the Pirellis (newer tyres will always be quieter than older ones as I’m sure you know but I still think there’s a noticeable difference) and I think they have more grip.

I’m not doubting you but out of genuine curiosity, have you tried Yokohamas or Continentals? Both Porsche and other fitters have talked me out of Michelins on a few occasions, on the basis that they’re overly expensive for what they are. But, I’ve not tried them so can’t comment.
