Its not surprising that an RS evocation suits RS spoilers!

Put it this way, I love the simple flowing elegance and soap bar look of the 964RS but equally love the outrageous spoilerage of the 993 GT2!

Where it goes wrong, is when something is pretending its something it isnt, or is bespoilered for pose value.

It can be a very fine line.

Spoiler on wide body and none on narrow. Pretty much the same opinion for all 911s. This said, most look good wearing factory kit.

Standing still the 993 doesn't need a spoiler to look good. However, on the move, the standard spoiler always looks a bit puny imho when it raises it's head.

I prefer no spoilers on a 993, then again I prefer the NB to the WB, and spent years sourcing one. I like the delicate/as close to the original 1963 shape of the standard Carrera - I seem to be one of a handful out there...

...and Jackal - that's six. (oops you counted Wozzer)

Are any of those cars red? We might have the full set. Except a turquoise one - nobody wants those hehe

993 wide-body with duck tail. Otherwise without.

^^highlight of 2015 for me the build of that riviera 993. Perfect (without spoilers)

For a comparison. This is a racing version of a 993 clubsport so the spoilers are correct for the car. An interesting comparison. Pretty brutal with the spoilers. Weirdly, I think that as a race car ( now almost historic ) they kinda work.

From the sublime to the ridiculous.

Racing cars need spoilers - I can see that.

Assuming that pic was Kim's work I popped over to the 'other place', wow doesn't even cover it!

That is a bold colour combo, superb!

I'm a WITH

The car should be as it left the factory, without modifications...However, a 993 Turbo S is a fine looking thing..!

That's not a particularly flattering picture of a 993.

Personally, for a road car I'd prefer no spoilers

I'm going to sit on the fence and say both, depending on the model.

C2S and C4S widebodies look great without, but then you can't argue with the sheer aggressiveness
(if thats a word, of its not, it should be) of the RS/GT's.

I mean, look at them.

Well *obviously* they all look good in silver - it's impossible to make silver ones look bad....
