Porsche 964 price ?
Discussion
On the subject of buying a 911 blind, I’ve done it twice ( 993 c4 and then 993 c2) both from 911V
This was on the basis that I trusted what I was being told by someone who knows far more than I did/do.
Not regretted it on either occasion but wouldn’t dream of doing it without that safety net

Bought and sold a few cars now from 911v down the phone. Always as good their word but TBH I have never picked out anything like an oil leak they haven't noticed so I prefer to just let them check a 911 out even if its not one of their own stock I'm buying.
Back on 964 C2. I've looked in the classifieds just now. The sort of condition 964 C2 I'd like to buy (a cab) is £100,000
GTSJOE navy 964 built by Tech 9. Read about her in the past. Love the colour combo and I remember it coming up at Hairpin. P79

I think most ‘classified’ prices are still ‘pre-Covid-19’.I’d take them with a pinch of salt.
Sellers may be trying to sit tight, but they will know that if/when the proverbial hits the fan, the market will freeze.

Cabs, Targas, Tips, C4s, generally less desirable than C2 Man Coupes.
However, I can see the attraction of roof down fun in a manual C2 Cab - but not at that price.
I’m sure, with good research, there will be some really nice original Cabs around with less than 50k mls, in private ownership, with deals to be done at half that price, that can be used and enjoyed with less financial risk.

Yep I buy to drive. I ended up with what I thought were two usable air cooled coupes in 2012/13 but by 2013/14 they had doubled in value. By 2015/16 I sold took the profit and ordered a new turbo s cab on behalf of SWMBO.
Even if not buying to drive controversial maybe but even today I'd encourage close friends with say a spare £30k-£100k of savings to buy a nice time warp RHD UK supplied 964 C2 coupe, 997 GTS coupe, RHD 550 Maranello etc as safe place not to at least lose any money. I'd rather have my savings in a classic desirable 911 or Ferrari than in a UK bank even today. In fact more so today watching banks/govt struggle to keep an even keel.

Anyway. I'm not buying either as can't really afford the running costs but it really does put into perspective what £60-80k buys....and it's likely to improve.

Saw a beautiful 575 bid up to £55k yesterday on collecting cars. I'd love to run a 550m with a big v12. Gentleman cruiser

IMI, thank you for the article on my 964, nice to see the journalist enjoying the car as much as I have. I am also amazed at how well set up the car is, huge amounts of torque and great feel through the bends courtesy of the PSS10 set up, 300bhp..Back on 964 C2. I've looked in the classifieds just now.
