Not that high, they sold one recently for £140k.

If you are predominently going to track it the RHD/LHD argument diasappears in reality so you are better buying abroad as RHD is never worth the ridiculous premiums.If you want a garage queen to protect your investment then LHD also isn't an issue as it will hardly be on the public roads.
Anyone paying £160k for a RHD CS is going to end in tears IMHO. I'd rather put that money in a flat as an investment.
I can see more owners realising their asset soon with the stock being so high and then thats when the heartache will start. Not a value or reward/risk purchase for me
Maybe, but its relative to the financial market that has changed considerably over the last 5 years. Look at the recent sale of the Nart Spider. $27million. The money paid to the seller went to charity. $27 million. Now a 250GTO has just sold for allegedly over $50 million. Fifty million Dollars.
Seven years ago a Bugatti sold for over $5 million and people were amazed.
Some people in many countries are just so stratospherically wealthy now due to combinations of many business factors that money is nothing. Many buyers are out there who will not be affected by market crashes because their financial positions are so protected. If a CS is on their bucket list they will buy it even if its $200k.

Nail on the head - it doesn't matter how good or bad the car may or may not be - the CS has a good heritage, very limited supply and a great following (except from one or two on here). For collectors that have one of or all of an Enzo, F40, F50 the CS is next on the list and is cheap in comparison. There have been other CS's that have sold around this price and this is obviously a very good example so will sell. I do wonder how much a good red, low miles, with stripe would sell for now ?
The downside of this is they will become rarer and rarer on the road

If they are are from abroad surely they are better off buying in Europe and LHD.
Its a shame that such a good car is only going to become a museum piece that no one drives. Very sad

If you asked me the next car on this collectors shopping list for me personally there would be a good few before I mentioned CS. But I will not argue with the market.Russell996 said:

No real surprise its sold there are NON about. Personally I think they will start to re-appear for sale when ones reaches £200k, most owners at that point will have doubled their money. There is no collector I know , of the extensive Ferrari stable type (that might be interested in a CS or not) that would consider a Gallardo. Any version. The main Lambo they would consider is a Lp400 Periscopo or a Miura.
