Very disappointed with the sensible advice given to the OP above, you guys should be ashamed of yourselves this is pistonheads for goodness sake :-)
We can sort it with some man maths ....
OP both those cars are silver one with 40k the other with 45k, it's not big miles in the real world but in Ferrari world it's getting up there, the black one you originally posted at 38 looked good value, use this time regardless of what you do to research here, autotrader, and lastly eBay, but you will see a trend, the market and cars are very colour and mileage sensitive, in general the cheapest cars are silver, the most expensive are red.
Haha, I need some sensible advice to glad I can find it.We can sort it with some man maths ....

My man maths is telling me buy at £38k, worse case sell at £32-35k if I need money quick... Not a massive amount to lose if I was really desperate to buy a house.
But wait a 6 months to a year and the red spider is VERY possible..
Fair enough, but my point was that you will probably wait 6 months even if you found a place of your dreams to actually move in.
The above advice to buy the house first is correct and would be hard to argue against.
However the right car bought now in winter COULD possible sell in the summer for a bit more if you got lucky

Get one bought! ![biggrin](/inc/images/biggrin.gif)
But get a red one. Nearly every post you have written, you return back to the thought of a red one. You really want a red one. Buy a red one. Colour is really important to me too and if its crap if you won't be happy with it.
You could of course buy the house first. You won't need to spend anything right? Its the perfect house you've found at the top of your price range, Fezza fund still there. Perfect. Aside from the Kitchen - the missus says that really needs an overhall. Otherwise it is spot on. Probably a new bathroom too, and maybe a spot of work on garden. Wait.. gardens rennovation costs "how much?". Thats OK.. still got a bit of a Ferrari fund left and you'll keep it topped up over the next few years.
Pregnant you say?
And then you are 45.

Get it now!! I bought my Porsche before the house. Then got the house, struggled a bit to start with but feck it - you only live once!
Only concern with that bonkers man maths is that you don't have a garage. Do you want a very flash expensive car lighting up your thief-lamp like a Christmas tree? Also consider the garage on any house you buy. 360's are wide fekkers!

At long last more bad advise :-)
I know! Way too many sensible trousers on this thread. This chap sounds young enough to make loads of mistakes an bounce back.A Fezza will be one of his best mistakes when he looks back in ten years time, all babied up.
Nowt better than a young whipper snapper driving about in a flash motor and us olderers thinking "how the Fek did he afford that so young?". That's how it should be
![biggrin](/inc/images/biggrin.gif)
Haha, we should have videoed it eh Paul ?
We got it in with the top down, then climbed out over the door with the window down then reached over to put the roof up !!!
Hey presto 360 in a pretty tight garage, to be fair though i think if you were fairly slim you could get out, but would be a very tight squeeze with the top up.
And back on topic i bought mine at 28, the wife was 3 months pregnant at the time with our first child and everybody thought i had lose the plot !
But all my mates were saying how i would have no money after having a baby, so with that my decision was made.
Feck the rainny day fund and bought this beauty.....
Luckily i purchased from a decent specialist and i reckon if i sold it now 3 years on it i would prob make 5k on it.
Maintenance hasnt been anything shocking.
Get one bought asap, the smile on my face on a Sunday morning when i take it out is stupid![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
(but i still would be sensible and get the house you want first)
Tim at Walkersport is a great guy to chat to about buying one.

Buy red for sure, you should always buy what you really want, its the same as buy cheap buy twice. Mine is red cream red calipers etc, and I absolutely love it, there is nothing worse than the niggle of something that does not satisfy your real desires. I do tend to agree with an earlier response, its not the money from the house kitty but more that you have not got somewhere to keep it. But I guess all of us understand your desire. Buy right, buy once, and try to keep it when the house comes along. If you can that is. Mike
Here's on in your desired spec but a manual.

I believe it is an exceptional car with a perfect history.

IMO your Titanio/Bordeaux isn't financial suicide......it is a good combination and although many want red/crema there are plenty out there who would consider it. Remember you pay a premium for red/crema so for other 'less desirable' combinations you will buy lower and sell lower.
WRT the car you've linked...the price, mileage, spec, colour scheme all look reasonable but condition and history are everything and you can only tell if it is a decent car by viewing/inspecting it. A premium low mileage car in red black will be over £50k.
If that car needs any significant work (clutch, belts, ball joints) it will soon rack up, if it's had significant accident damage it's expensive.
Have a look at a few and you will soon get a feel for value whilst actual selling prices are all over the place.......
HTH..........M
Edit: it's just had belts but I'd get a clutch reading. An early F1 car on it's first clutch will be getting close to replacement with normal use. One owner for 10 years though is very positive.

Many thanks for the link to the buying the guide JR (I read it when it was first published last year) Such guides tend to be of limited use in my experience, added to which my questions were more aimed far more specifically at value of the red car I've linked to. ![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)

would've been very helpful Mr Reggae![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
You seem to have garnered yourself quite a reputation for being overly abrasive on the PH Ferrari forums. Play nice, or don't play at all![wink](/inc/images/wink.gif)
I think it is you who is being unreasonable here![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)

You did not say you had read anything so it is reasonable to suggest you look at the basic buying guide to start - surely that is playing nice ?
I am sorry that we seemed to upset you, As I explained when you visited the heater and the dehumidifer were being used at the bodyshop for a few days as we had a unit breakdown there which took priority, they were returned a few days later - no harm done. I guess we can't please everyone.
