I was all for saying don't judge cosmetics as it being some kind of death trap, but that panel gap is laughable!
Actually, the panel gaps are fine - But your knowledge of the car design is laughable!

The centre section of the front hood sits level with the nose panel, and the sections either side of the centre section drop down to create exit vents for air hitting the nose of the car:

I would assume 80k on Copart. Prices there don't make sense, just can't figure out what the scam is with Copart. It can be cheaper to buy an undamaged high miler than a car from Copart.

There is no scam by Copart, they have a vast customer base which includes.

Salvage remarketers
UK breakers
Exporters for repair
Exporters for breaking
Private individuals who want to repair cars
Professional companies that repair cars

Sometimes people do get a bit carried away when bidding or underestimate repair costs which can lead to a car seeming expensive. Personally I would not touch such a car but there is still a good market for repaired salvage at the right price.

most of the vehicles go overseas, so not recorded as a insurance writeoff, no wonder they sell for so much £260k car sells for 40k-80k, repair, sell it for 260k in some other country no ones the wiser of its previous accident history, im sure if that seller had the opportunity they would hide that fact of it ever being a category d car, makes alot of sense why they sell for so much. damaged
