Would love to know the story behind that Cardiff car. Used to be a CS around Cardiff VIA 666 doubt it's the same one though. Must be a reason it's not selling
the reason is, it was a track day experience car for 3/4 odd years and doesn't have much service history . its been for sale 10 mths , starting price was £80k Edited by tony h on Wednesday 5th February 21:34

Fairplay, should have just asked before. That's the problem anyone buying these cars does their research thoroughly. http://challenge-stradale.com/139669.html
Ill always live to regret not buying a mint example about two years ago for 90k. I knew they were going to go up in value but convinced myself that the mileage I would put on it would not make it such a great investment and that it was too fragile for my local roads. How wrong was I! Anyone preaching that the price rises are ridiculous are no doubt just p!sssd off that they missed the boat as well. And it will be ten times worse when they check prices again in twenty years. Limited number ferraris have and will only go in one direction price wise. Fortunately limited run cars will always be made and history will repeat itself as always and the boat hasn't yet departed for the scuderia.

the mileage thing is such a joke ; i know many uk owners who have multiple euro trips under their belts and the cars haven't skipped a beat. me i bought with 8k and now have 28k in 8 years ... driven much less in last few years . i need to get out more Ill always live to regret not buying a mint example about two years ago for 90k. +1. I have been all over Europe with Ferraris including my Strad, which has its 10th birthday this year and has been totally reliable on 3 Euro trips in the last 18 months. The only issue I have had was last year with a California where on my way to the Santander ferry from Southampton the valve in a front tyre disintegrated. Repairman said, "they're rubbish these things - they come from BMW or Jaguar."Caveat as always is if you don't keep them properly maintained.

LOL everyone we know who has them seems to have got to about 25k ish and parked them, scared to go over the next threshold of 30k miles. Shame really, because as you say they are epically reliable. Brought mine with about 4k miles on it and most of the next 24k miles were hooning acrooss Europe with my mates, so of the very best memories of my life. (Some of the worst hangovers too!)I hadnt used mine hardly at all since 2011, what a waste of an epic car

has yours sold ? i see a deposit taken sign .... you might break even at that selling point
The mileage thing is a joke with Ferraris but also a fact of life. The car would have been an investment primarily, being a 10 year old car another fact of life is that performance has moved on...a lot. On UK roads a 458 is a far better point to point weapon. It just doesn't sound as nice.

I don't get this; how can this state 'involved in a crash / full respray' UNCONFIRMEDhttp://challenge-stradale.com/139669.html
surely if someone is going to run a credible registry you only insert fact ie confirmed details instead of vague and even possible misleading false information....
can anyone confirm this has been accident damaged or just like lots of 10yr+ Ferraris out there and had paintwork carried out wither it be a panel to a full respray?
even if it has had a shunt, if it has been repaired to a very high level and back to all factory tolerances (like the blue CS that gets dragged up every so often) what does it matter? there are a few expensive GTO's out there that are still worth a few bucks after being bent a few times over the years.
I know of a one owner from new CS that was shunted up the rear at traffic lights when a year old; just over £20k damage and repaired as new and still the same very happy owner....it only has 6k miles so deemed as a rather expensive CS now....or is that viewed as only worth £100k due to its 'dodgy history'?

Hmmm, mine has 6k miles on it
FFS go drive it man or alternatively cash in and put the money in a pension scheme if you deem it a long term investmentA friend of mine just bought a CS from Europe, a beautiful car with solid history and the full "launch spec" alcantara interior. After driving cars with full leather interiors, what struck me about his car is how the alcantara interior feels and looks so much more special than cars with leather (esp full black leather interiors which don't offer any contrast from the black mats, etc, but red/black reall pops out at you). Theres also something about the smell of alcantara and compared to the leather seats (esp large size) in which your back side is moving around slightly when you go around corners etc (even with harnesses), you're completely planted on the alcantara. Really can't understand why anyone spec'd leather when these were new. I suppose part of the beauty of these cars though is that there are lots of different spec examples out there and looking at piston heads currently, no two cars are alike on interior spec.
