Spec'd up the Speciale
Discussion
Congratulations - Looks Epic! Amazing discipline - I could never wait so long knowing the car could be picked up when the sun came out!
I went for another test drive yesterday - and was blown away by the ride in town - it is much more comfortable then my Maserati! There you have it - Speciale as a town car!
I really don't get all of the "its too noisy" stuff - keep it below 3,500 revs - its as quiet as a door mouse. Above 4,000 though - it has a pair of lungs!
Let me know when you pick it up - and we can compare stripes!

Mine has just arrived in the UK after placing the order back in January. Now the final wait until March 1st to collect as being registered as a 15 reg. Bought a 15 reg for it as well **1 5PEC. Already planning the European tour for next summer.

That looks stunning, nice spec. There are some great shots of different specs of 458 Speciale and Speciale A in the Ferrari 458 Speciale Flickr group.

I am going away until the end of January so really only a 4 week wait when I get back. I will only ever use it over the summer months (another sad dry weather use owner) so I prefer it to be safely stored at the dealer and get a 15 plate. I am going to go to the dealer and see the car over this weekend to keep me going until March!

With the weather still being decent and no salt on the roads I think I wouldn't be giving a flying f*ck about the 15 plate.
Patience not being one of my stronger qualities, I'd be out there and learn to live with the bitter disappointment of having a 14 plate Speciale.
Plenty of salt on roads round me!Patience not being one of my stronger qualities, I'd be out there and learn to live with the bitter disappointment of having a 14 plate Speciale.
Couldn't wait 11 weeks to get my new baby.
Ok I can see the point of waiting until Jan 2015 over 23rd Dec 2014 but at the end of the day no one is that bothered about a 15/64 plate and a 15/15 plate in terms of value.
If you put a private plate on it and keep it a few years you have just wasted 11 weeks of driving fun IMHO

I average circa 2,000 miles in 3 different supercars making a total of 6,000 which I don't think is bad for sunny sunday driving but your right maybe I should just buy one and not even bother to register it at all. It may become an appreciating ornament when I'm dead
