For those who don't 'self insure' - Has anyone recently renewed the "New" Power Warranty? I've been quoted 3 different prices from 3 different dealers and wondered whether anyone else out there had any actual renewal experience. I found this on an earlier thread, apparently from FNEPR, which states two levels of discount should apply to a returning, no claim, customer:

The Ferrari warranty is categorically NOT "just an insurance policy". As the press release stated, and as reported in the article, this is a "factory-backed" warranty with all costs underwritten by Ferrari.
The warranty prices (+vat) are as follows:
V8 models: £2900 for Year 5, then £2100 for Year 6 to 12.
V12 models: £4000 for Year 5, then £2600 for Year 6 to 12.

The old Power Train warranty has been discontinued and all cars up to 12 years old are eligible for the New Power Warranty.
The warranty is available to purchase from any official Ferrari dealer, even for cars that have been serviced outside of the official network, subject to a technical inspection.
And, finally, any cars which have not been serviced by an official dealer recently can take part in the "Welcome Back" programme, in which an official Ferrari dealer will service the car and provide new Service Book if necessary, with confirmation that the car meets all Ferrari current standards with any outstanding service campaigns or other updates completed on the car.

Not worth the paper it's written on IMHO - suspension claims - the most common issue on a 458 is not covered! They will wriggle out of anything in the name of wear and tear. Warranty Direct cover Wear and Tear and are brilliant. Have had them on a few supercars or GTs in the past and they have always paid up.

I've just taken Power Warranty for the first time on my F12 which just turned 4. However, my 458 Spider is 4 in April and I may consider Warranty Direct. Just got some quotes and it's £700 less for the F12 using WD's top policy so I might look at that next year. It's only £100 or so less for the Spider but I think the cover is wider by he looks of it.
Question I have is, does anyone know what the inspection cost is please and do they do it once and then you can renew each year without another inspection?

No cost at renewal and no re-inspection required with WD. However I think they may be reading this thread as I just called for a renewal quote and the f
kers are now quoting more than a Ferrari Power Warranty

I may as well give the dealer the chance to price match the other, more comprehensive, Ferrari warranty (can't remember what it's called) to WD's price but I won't hold my breath.
I just had a quote from WD and it is way cheaper than Ferrari Power Warranty. It also covers shock absorbers, oil seals and wear and tear items that the Ferrari one does not cover. For a £50 surcharge on the premium you get new for old cover once the vehicle is over 6 years old.

this thread goes back to 2016 - you should have the documentation from DL on the power warranty that lists everything that is covered. Anything not listed isnt
