Hi Everyone
I was wondering what peoples current thoughts are with regards to the Pista, are they a decent buy in todays market and where are they like to be in 3 or 4 years? i am certainly not looking at it as an investment but just trying to gauge the potential depreciation cost.
Thanks

Congratulations on your new Pista.Which one have you pressed the button on.??
I bought one from a friend in October and havent driven it yet!!!.I will wait until the salts off the road before giving it its first proper drive.
Wow i cant believe you’ve had it since October and not driven it yet. I am struggling to wait just a week. Mine’s an Argento Nurburgring with navy and white stripes, I think it’s stunning, ill post some photos when i pick it up.I bought one from a friend in October and havent driven it yet!!!.I will wait until the salts off the road before giving it its first proper drive.

Well done, Much much more exciting than a F8, most importantly drive the bloody thing, never see them at supercar meets as the owners are scared to put miles on them. Make sure the tyres are warmed up,and if I was you put Michelin PS4S on it asap.
Thank you, i fully intend to. I agree with the F8, I drove one at Millbrook and whilst i liked it, i wasnt smitten. The Pista was a different story, i knew i had to have it the minute i saw it! Gibbo205 said:
I remember seeing this at Stratstone last year, really cool it has got Vettel's signature on the sill and a very bright clean looking car, very well priced too due to lack of inertia seatbelts.
Lovely car sir!
Thank you, Yes, the seatbelts will take a bit of getting used to but they do make it more of an event. Stratstone were fantastic to work with, gave me a reasonable return on my 488 spider nd we closed the dea very quickly. I am from London so have never dealt with them before but i would certainly travel up to Manchester again to work with them again. Lovely car sir!
The signatures on the drives side are actually Seb Vettel and Charles Leclerc. I am a massive F1 fan so that is really special for me too.
Now my target is to make this the highest mile Pista in the country over the next few years!

Looks wonderful in that colour combo,You could say im a little bias,as mines Argento as well.(launch spec)
I must admit, personally, id rather have 4 points than the inertia belts in my car and im surprised to hear it reduces its desireability ,i thought it would have been the opposite.
I was at the launch, and i was blown away then. Ive been driving her all day today and i cant wait to take her out tomorrow. It still hasn’t sunk in that shes mine.I must admit, personally, id rather have 4 points than the inertia belts in my car and im surprised to hear it reduces its desireability ,i thought it would have been the opposite.

I’ve joined the pista clan if there is such a thing! Anyway here it is the day it was delivered. Got to drive it yesterday to a Drivers Union event. Nice to meet you George. Looking forward to getting out in it a lot more than the GTB.

Out of interest, why did you go for the Pista instead of a Speciale?
When I first started looking I was open to either but if I'm honest it was actually the Speciale that I really had in mind. However when I started comparing the 2 properly side by side the Speciale was begining to look dated and I know its very much a personal thing but to me the Pista is one of the prettiest cars out there with so many intricate details everywhere you look. Also I started to consider the fact that I wanted a car to drive, not a garage queen and the fact that my Pista was just 16 months old when I bought it meant that I would have another 2 1/2 years of full manufacturer warranty as well as the 7 years servicing so it just made more sense for me. I have covered 6,000 miles in the first year of ownership and I am still amazed by the fact that I find myself looking forward to the weekends just so that i can take the car out. Even throughout the winter the longest it has sat in the garage unused is 2.5 weeks and that's only because I was away on holiday. I have a Euro trip booked at the end of May where I will be driving her through some of the most iconic roads in Italy and I am literally counting down the days like a child! Everyone is different and I still do love the Speciale but having owned a Pista for just over a year now I am absolutely certain that I made the right decision. I consider myself very fortunate for having had the opportunity to chose in the first place. She's probably worthless now though because of the amount of mileage that I'm doing but hey ho I genuinely cant see that I would ever sell her!
