Nest issue of Octane has a big puff piece on the 575M.
This follows GQ's recent 'buy now!' article. http://www.gq-magazine.co.uk/entertainment/article...
Definitely flavour of the month.

Thanks for the pointer! Oh how I laughed at the title of this thread....!
Didn't we all...I titled the thread in jest as a nod to a Challenge Stradale thread where somebody predicting CS's at £200k was widely ridiculed...and they are up to £300k now!I think the modern classics have got further to run in 2016. So sell fast!!!
So how many guys on here are getting jittery about using theirs, given the value increase? Mine gets limited use as I'm in another country to it, but when I do use it, I am more aware of the value situation. It's not what I bought it for, but I does make me a bit more anxious about using it. Am I alone in this?
My daily commute is along 5 miles of muddy Norfolk lanes. So I use my Renault 5! The decent stuff gets rolled out at the weekends and summer evenings. So difficult to put took many miles on anything really. But agree its important to keep the juices flowing on these cars.
The 550's don't seem to be too mileage sensitive though above 20,000 miles.

I bought mine to use it, and have done 10k in 2 years. It was the car on the poster on my wall, so the value of it in regards to not driving it is irrelevant to me.
That said, the value does make me think about what else I could do with the cash - pay off the mortgage? Swap for different cars? I don't currently have space for any more cars, however I did make a list of what I could buy if I sold it:
997 C2
Bentley Turbo R
Caterham/Morgan 3-wheeler
C63/E63 AMG
XJS
And that does make you think a bit - as much as it is my dream car in my perfect spec, that's a lot of other cars I could have instead of just this one...
In short, I wouldn't/don't use it less because of the value, or not think about adding miles. But I now have a six-figure car sitting in the garage, that I didn't two years ago.

This is very much what is going through my mind at the moment when I have my sensible cap on.... I definitely plan to hold on to it for the medium to long term though: it was THE car for me since I was a teenager and I want to go on some trans-continental trips to use it as it was intended. Sod the mileage. But I now have a six-figure car sitting in the garage, that I didn't two years ago.

But the only things I really like are 458, DBS volante and any 250.
Given the 250 is out due to cost and the 458 will depreciate heavily (I don't do depreciation !)this left me with the DBS, which I drove but it left me totally cold so I suspect I will end up keeping the 550 for now whilst its appreciating ( not that it was bought as an investment)

Same here - I've lusted after the 550 half my life, and it's everything I hoped it would be. I had only had mine for 6 months when I drove from Aberdeenshire to the Italian lakes - do it, it's absolutely brilliant at euro trips
