Discussion
I have done 500miles in about 4 driving occasions since I bought it and the CS is absolutely unbelievable! The communication it gives you is phenomenal, it feels alive.
I had driven a couple back in 2004/5 but I really don't remember them being this great (albeit they were test drives so it was not a proper drive)
The only thing I still cant get use to is the flappy paddles, especially in town.

If you know where to look there are plenty of good LHD examples still around for sensible money in todays climate (Circa 150k)
Really? Where would that be then?
It's when you're looking for Black, TDF Blue or Rosso Scuderia cars where the customer wants the Black Leather seats over the Alcantara racing seats or vice cersa where it gets fun, and ideally with/without the perspex windows. Then the history, or sometimes lack of.
Exactly the same situation with the 430 Scud's really...I still deem them to be a good buy right now, both of them, but it's making people realise you're buying (especially RHD) at the peak of the curve (In my view)...Having said, they're both such sought after cars currently I can see them holding at that level for a while, at least while the LHD cars circulate more to help weigh down RHD values somewhat.

As I've found with a few more realistic buyers/sellers...If a seller REALLY wants to sell, they will not keep up with market hype & it's associated pricing...Undercut it by 15-20k & it will be gone, more than likely to someone in the trade looking for stock.
It is a bit depressing that Silverstone describe it as:
"The vehicle offered today must be one of the very best examples available, being in superb condition and showing a mere 5,781 miles to date."
They must know of the recent history given that if you just place the chassis number into Google, the top returned search is "www.salvagebid.com"

I think there is a very small number which actually have been clocked, it is quite easy to spot wear and tear on a car. Also very hard to hide if a car has done a lot of miles and the speedo is saying less than 5000. A Ferrari plug on reader should be able to spot a clocked car surely? Big risk for a seller to take given that the price of these low mile cars is going to require any buyer to have a inspection.

I agree. It's just this car is already a 'story' car so if I were a prospective buyer I would be keen to verify the mileage.Gassing Station | Ferrari Classics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
