I have done 500miles in about 4 driving occasions since I bought it and the CS is absolutely unbelievable! The communication it gives you is phenomenal, it feels alive.
I had driven a couple back in 2004/5 but I really don't remember them being this great (albeit they were test drives so it was not a proper drive)
The only thing I still cant get use to is the flappy paddles, especially in town.

By the way, it is interesting that both the Meridien and Lovett cars circa £220k have now sold too.
Presume they were both RHD...do you recall the mileage?

If you know where to look there are plenty of good LHD examples still around for sensible money in todays climate (Circa 150k) smile

ALL non UK...The UK has an interesting glut of inflated price cars currently. There is still ALOT of choice on 360 CS's (I count at least 20+ available that are LHD with a handful of RHD) some with silly pricing...But there are others which typically hover between £150-£170k

It's when you're looking for Black, TDF Blue or Rosso Scuderia cars where the customer wants the Black Leather seats over the Alcantara racing seats or vice cersa where it gets fun, and ideally with/without the perspex windows. Then the history, or sometimes lack of.

Exactly the same situation with the 430 Scud's really...I still deem them to be a good buy right now, both of them, but it's making people realise you're buying (especially RHD) at the peak of the curve (In my view)...Having said, they're both such sought after cars currently I can see them holding at that level for a while, at least while the LHD cars circulate more to help weigh down RHD values somewhat.

There are 7 RHD and 4 LHD for sale in UK. The lowest price LHD is 170k for a car which for some reason has been sitting around for months now. Many LHD have changed hands for much more than this in last few months. Remove that car and lowest priced LHD is 224k! The budget Non-UK cars you mention are high milers and the buying in Europe is a hassle if you want to do your due diligence, get it inspected trucked back etc etc. I've done it twice successfully but I think the saving has to be 10% to make it worthwhile. The low KM non-UK cars are similar prices to those LHD over here. Its not just a UK thang…except of course the higher RHD prices. In my experience, over time LHD price rise up to RHD not the other way round.

Agreed with alot of what you've said Roy...Let's see how it pans over the coming weeks. Still keeping a close eye on a bundle of CS's currently for customers with a few scheduled to view over the coming weeks. The biggest trap for so many so far is the time spent procrastinating, while one mulls over whether circa £180-£190,000 is the price to buy at considering what they were 18 months back, then only to realise once a decision has been made that the markets pricing has gone up a further 10/15/20k & sellers become a bit more bullish in the hope they get that price as everyone else is asking more is always entertaining.

As I've found with a few more realistic buyers/sellers...If a seller REALLY wants to sell, they will not keep up with market hype & it's associated pricing...Undercut it by 15-20k & it will be gone, more than likely to someone in the trade looking for stock.

Buyer beware. I've seen pics of it after its crash in Hawaii eek . It then resided in US. Its now here.

I was told there is little history with the car. These are easily clocked.

It is a bit depressing that Silverstone describe it as:
"The vehicle offered today must be one of the very best examples available, being in superb condition and showing a mere 5,781 miles to date."

They must know of the recent history given that if you just place the chassis number into Google, the top returned search is "www.salvagebid.com"

Thanks. To be honest most are clocked and damaged. I was looking at my old car (currently for sale - 139344) and when i called the previous owner I was told it was driven in to a roundabout but not hard enough to be written off.

I think there is a very small number which actually have been clocked, it is quite easy to spot wear and tear on a car. Also very hard to hide if a car has done a lot of miles and the speedo is saying less than 5000. A Ferrari plug on reader should be able to spot a clocked car surely? Big risk for a seller to take given that the price of these low mile cars is going to require any buyer to have a inspection.

I agree. It's just this car is already a 'story' car so if I were a prospective buyer I would be keen to verify the mileage.
