Is the mobile site gone now?

Really there should have been a replacement page on mobile.Pistonheads though to say don't use this, use this link xxx, and automatically update to Beta2 (preferably better named).
We are working on that at the moment - as the page is completely run by a third party who will do no development work for us it is hard to put something there - so we are exploring killing the mobile.pistonheads.com site and using Beta2 as default. Though we are making sure we do not kill some of the link equity we have in Google by doing this, so might not be in place till the end of the week.RacingPete said:

Surely the DNS is in your control though? miniman said:

What am I doing wrong here?
I'm using beta2, when I click on what's new I only get the last hours posts, even if I've got the last 24 hours selected in the drop down...
The what's new page is missing the pagination to go to the next pages of posts - hoping to have that sorted by end of tomorrow.I'm using beta2, when I click on what's new I only get the last hours posts, even if I've got the last 24 hours selected in the drop down...

I'm getting used to beta2 on the mobile. It's growing on me. I like the quoting all option. But it definitely only really work in portrait. I was trying to use it landscape like I used the old mobile version. On the old mobile it gave you more text and less scrolling in landscape, but on beta 2 it just gives more drop down menus. In portrait much less of an issue.
Biggest gripe is beta2 is much worse in the desktop and I can't be arsed to change my preferences every time I change device. (i.e. Every day while in work)
Maybe I'm lucky but I'm not getting the massive adds in benjjs screen grab. Maybe my iphone4 is just too old to try to stream video ads.
So some progress but a way to go.

Is there a way to go to the last page rather than having to keep pressing next page or key in the last page number into the box? When I go to what's new it opens in the first page and I can't see a last page or latest post type prompt.

Sorry, this is ste. I hate forums where you have to click on a box and put in a page number. Old site , you knew at a glance where you were on a thread when you came back to it, one click and you were there. Or you could skip on a few pages if you wanted to. Just because it's a responsive design doesn't mean you have to destroy the functionality.
And the forum list - why oh why oh why is everything hidden now? Whole point of preferences was to get rid of those you don't want and just see the ones you do, now there all hidden and you have to dig around to find them. Horrible experience.

When is the option to skip straight to the last page of a thread going to appear?
Hoping to have that out by the end of todayThere is now an arrow on the right of the screen that goes to the last read position on a post, while the title will go to the first post. Have a play and let us know.

We have put the functionality of this live - it has not been tested on all devices due to wanting to get this out before the bank holiday weekend, so please have a play and let us know.

Hi Pete, I can't see an arrow on my iPhone or iPad in the beta 2ive just got the prev and next prompts. There is now an arrow on the right of the screen that goes to the last read position on a post, while the title will go to the first post. Have a play and let us know.
