Is it possible to see who has rated your respectability ?
Everyones profile I have checked (excl. MikeE) have got 100% respect so it devalues it slightly.
Surely if you want people to be honest (i.e if someone's a tw@t give them a tw@t rating) then you don't want them to know who rated their respectability?

I foresee trouble ahead... I for one am going to sulk if my respectability rating plummets!
Edited to add: Actually Ted, just out of curiosity - how does the percentages thing work? Is it "no respect" = 0%, "respect" = 100% - but then what about "no opinion"? 50%?

Give Ted a chance..! - the man's never let us down... so let's keep the ideas coming, but keep them constructive.
(apologies, been on the and it makes me all diplomatic or summat)
I agree with Podie on this one, I think we should give it a chance, If i'm thinking right, Ted will devise a cunning plan with some form of linking time of membership and no. of posts with a suitable title for us.
Ha, I'm 16 and an old timer, where's me zimmerframe.

Not sure about this "Respect" Thing. Someone explain please.
If you post a comment, somebody is able to click on your name in the post and make thier feelings known...
Just one example. I am assuming it can be done if you review something too...

Edited to add, I just clicked on "respect" for you being from Strathclyde. I was actually born in Ayr. Lived in Dunure when I was a small boy

As I've said elsewhere I will be refining the newbie/gasbag thing to take account of length of membership. I need to do some database changes to do that and not slow the whole site down.
The respect thing currently works as follows:
Respect = 1
No respect = -1
If 3 people respect you and one disrespects you then you'll get 75% by 4 people.
We'll give it time to mature and see how it pans out. I forsee someone reading a review by someone with 90% respect by 20 people as adding some real credibility to their mutterings.
In a similar vein, if someone gets 100% disrespect by a number of people that I may flag that on their postings so people can spot a troll and it could also alert the moderators etc.

So you get an Old Timer for long membership, and a Hot Gasser for lots of and a Veteran Gasser for the combination of both?!
Top feature Ted, hope it'll solve the recent anomalies, and still helps new members to integrate as usual
btw: looks like the descrption appears now at the first poster's name of the thread, too.
