what if you 'know' someone who probably qualified for free premium adverts but started a new account because they got 'banned' without reason....

I reckon if it came to light that someone who was banned re-registered they'd get banned again rather swiftly.

Yeah, he was worried it might stir things up asking on his behalf too.. Its ok though, its impossible to actually enforce a ban on anyone for more than 90 seconds

Sometimes we'll take an admission that someone is a returning banned user as sufficient justification to remove their new account, even if that admission is implied. It really depends on if we feel that they're just taking the piss out of us or our moderators and creating more work for them than is necessary. Perhaps you could "pass that on" to your "friend"?

aaah yes, but in a time long long ago, when PH was frequented only by men of hairy chests and medallions, driving TVRs, some of us used to advertise our cars on here just to help the site look a bit prettier. This was of course reciprocated by not only a free ad, but also a larger helping of pie at BTaP

Ive been here for 46 months, does that make me eligible for a free add? in the past i've got them for free yet when I went to put more TVR up earlier it went to the pay screen?

Going on how long you've been registered, you should qualify for a free ad. I think I've read that other people have also been shown the pay screen, carried on & not been charged?
Then again I may be wrong! So you may be better off waiting for an official answer.

As Shaw Tarse describes it, it'll take you to the pay screen, but when you press "proceed to payment" it skips that page altogether.

Can I just say as a member since 2003 (and a lurker before that) a big THANKYOU for keeping ads free for old stagers. Just went on to advertise the wife's car and pleasantly surprised. "Customer loyalty" is a rare and vanishing notion these days, on both sides of the coin...
