Unfortunately we have experienced a few technical issues over the last 12 hours which has led to the site failing on a couple of occasions over the course of the day.
Apparently this was due to the site having 'outages', for those that are in the know.
I will be able to explain in more detail in the morning however I have been told the problem has now been resolved.
We would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused and for any interruption to your daily posting

We're not sure why they site went down. All I know is the guys were at the coalface until the early hours resolving it.
Hopefully they should have found the cause of the problem today and made the necessary arrangements to ensure this doesn't happen again.

As you have all noticed there has been some weird behaviour on the site, which eventually stabilised at about midnight when we reverted back to a previous release version of the site (Initially we thought that the problems were being caused by last Thursday's release).
However, we've subsequently discovered that the release might not have been at fault... but equally we don't yet know what was the cause, and we're not ruling out a DOS attack on the site.
The dev team are working on finding the cause of the problem, but until they do they obviously can't release any updates on the site.
We'll keep you updated as and when we know more, but for now the site is up and running and there shouldn't be any issues - but please do let us know if you spot anything, even if it seems minor."
