"Back to Topic"...

No doubt others have mentioned this so apologies if this is treading old ground, but, when replying to a thread and clicking the 'Back to Topic' button, would it not make more sense to be taken back to the last page in the thread rather than the first?

Yes I have often thought that also. Imagine it would be a fairly simple thing to fix?
Whenever I have posted and return, I then have to wait until the page loads then click the last page...

You are right you're not the first person to have thought of this (in fact I put exactly the same question up) and the response is that it works if you view posts in ascending, rather than descending order (i.e. newest at the top).

I tried it, but can't do it (which is odd; that's how I view e-mails?!).

Urgh, newest posts at top, would be even more confusing! Would it be difficult to make it an option as to whether the return to topic button takes you to the first or last page?

Hmm, not working properly for me I don't think. Was just on Page 3 of the Norwich Union thread in P&P and it took me back to Page 2.

And when I tried it on this one I got an error, this was where it was pointing too:

Maybe still some bugs to fix, Ted, I just replied in one of the MANY 'fraudelent bankers draft' threads, and it retuned me to page 2 of 3... Then again, maybe the hampsters are confused by 13 threads on the same subject?
