...that 2 threads mentioning a certain Prancing Pony's altrication with a tree on Gt Southern Road have been vanished from the forum.

Not moved, not locked, But totally removed as if they never happened. Just curious thats all, no particular axe to grind but would like to know on what grounds you can have a thread removed apart from the obvious racist, abusive etc.

Is it possible that an OP can delete a thread if he doesn't like or agree with responses to his post?

The OP can remove their posts, if that makes the thread now unintelligible then the thread is sometimes routinely removed. Or maybe the owner is on here and requested it, were there photos that could identify the car?

Apparently it was requested to be removed since there were comments being made that were not accurate or true (usual internet speculation) and since this is a RTA being investigated the thread was asked to be removed in case they were seen and wrongly used. I'm sure he'll talk all about it when it's over but it's better to be safe than sorry.
