Just notice a lot of swear words getting though on posts at the moment, whereas before I am sure they would be censored...

Circumventing the swear filter deliberately will get a temporary forum ban. It's there for a reason.

'Arsed' and 'pissed' do not appear to be on the list of naughty words that PH uses. 'Shorpe' is though and quite rightly so.

Is that the same as circumventing the swear filter though? The main purpose of the swear filter (as I understand) is to stop 'Net Nanny' type software picking up on the expletives, classing PH as an 'adult' website and causing people to be blocked at work. Would these programmes pick up on those spellings?

If somebody types the word 'fk', the swear filter makes no difference in terms of offensiveness as everybody knows what they typed despite the censored smiley breaking up the word.
