Post count on threads

No, not the usual thing of "why isn't my post count increasing...oh it's working now", but if you click on someone's profile (or even your own), then select 'Forums', you can see threads that you've started or contributed to, and the number of comments you've made, of the total.

Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that these numbers actually bear any relation to the number of posts made in that thread - for example, if I look at my profile I can see that I've made 1 of 44 comments in the 'prescription sunglasses' thread. If I go in and look at it however, I've actually made 5 comments.

Hardly a big deal, but I thought I'd mention it in case it points to some massive underlying issue that's imminently going to cause the entire forum database to collapse...

If no-one mentions it, it'll never* get fixed.

* ok, It'll probably never get fixed anyway, but hey....

Spot on; it's the number of posts made by the user on that thread in the last 30 days (or 60, or whatever you selected), out of the total ever made.
