could you include the topic pages (1,2,3..) etc so you can jump straight to the end of the thread?

Good point. Forgot that.

imo i think it needs the 'forum' as well as the subject. Some titles can be quite obscure. Otherwise very nice.

Yes, I can see that. I might put that in the tool tip or make it option to view it.

This might sound a bit painful, but some sort of indexing capability would be monumentaly good.

I do understand what you mean. I have built that into the new topic page so that threads can be accessed from a particular post (or last read post) onwards. I've got a bit more work to do on that before I can put it live though.

The other thing I noticed is that the Java menu bar thingy isn't appearing at the top of all these new pages. That'd be good too!

Quite like the new "look and feel" though!

The javascript menu was controversial when it was introduced and I'm sure it will be controversial when it disappears too

You still haven't sorted the page back issue.

I have on the profiles, the thread you were reading is now in the top navigation bar to return to. Because you're linking direct to the test page you don't see it currently.

victormeldrew said:
Instead of splitting topics and replies, and having multiple tabs, why not have an icon on each line and just have the combined topics & replies (and call it contributions again).

That's what the first tab consists of.

victormeldrew said:
You could change the background colour on topics with new content to a different shade of grey to make them stand out as an alternative.

That should be happening already with greyed out topics that you've caught up with and bold blue for unread topics. Please let me know if you're not seeing that as it's quite key.

Yes I realise that what the first tab was, but I'm suggesting having only that tab with a visual indication of topic or reply(icon or author field) and dropping the other two completely. Too busy.

Understood. People have asked for the other two though so I'll leave 'em there (allows you to step back through the months that you started topics, rather than when they were last updated).

Here's an idea - I really like the format of the existing "what's new" page and use it all the time.
How about adding a column or some other way of indicating which topics you have replied to in this view?
Often I end up "manually" doing this for myself by using (abusing?) the bookmark function...

I'll certainly do that. More data is now being recorded which allows them to be highlighted in the mytopics page. I'll use the same technique for the new what's new page (70% complete).

The reason it disappeared was that I was sorting out the paging.

The behaviour of the links on the first tab has changed. Whichever way you view threads, clicking on a thread will take you to the most recent page. Future enhancements will allow me to take you to the new posts.

Just checked and the thread to this is grey in My Stuff even with your reply.

Bold items are the ones that you haven't read since a reply was made. Stick with it, it'll become apparent very quickly.

Ted, would it be possible to show which forum each thread is in? I use the "MyStuff" page as my homepage and use the links to specific forums from there. Other may do the same I guess.

Maybe... I'll see what other feedback I get.

Does it do a "go to the last post that you read within that thread" when you click on the link?

Not currently, but when the remainder of the code is rolled out it will do that.

If I click what's new last 14 days, should it show me my replies back to 4th Jan (ish). I seem to be going back as far as 9th?

That may be because the new data was only recorded from 9th onwards.

Don't know if you did this on purpose or not Ted, but the little folder icon on the left of each topic no-longer indicates a locked thread with a padlock, just a regular folder.

Just noticed it.

That wasn't an intentional omission but it may have benefits

Ted, I would just remove locked threads . . .

We do sometimes, but other times we need people to see why the thread has been stopped.

'My Topics' is doubled now in de bar above

Please could you explain - I can't see that myself.

the folders on the right have no meaning anymore

What folders on the right?

'YGpost' is the same as bold text . . .

Eh?

The trashbin could be handy at the rightside at all times. Sometimes I just get bored with a topic - all been said and repeated etc. - and I want to get rid of it. My list are too long anyway :P but this could be a handy tool to shorten up a bit.

Agreed, that's something I'd like too.
