How many RHD 6.2 manual murcielago's?
Discussion
I've been looking for a clean, early [6.2] , manual, unmolested Murcielago for quite a while now. They appear to be in the same category as hen's teeth and the proverbial rocking horse excrement.
Does anyone know how many are even in the uk and preferably RHD? I've tried the usual obvious stuff such as:
https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/vehicle/lamborghini_...
.. which gave a scarcely credible result for Murcielago's full stop. I guess there must be inconsistency in what the dvla call them which gives a split result.
Anyway any facts or knowledge gratefully appreciated !

It seems that either everyone is so happy with their early murcielago that they don't want to sell or there's just hardly any around. There's only a couple for sale on the usual websites. I rung Carlo from TopGear and my local lambo dealer to see if they know of any that might come to market. Where else should I look? Are there any lurking on a dealer website i wouldn't find with the usual google searches?

Looking for any secondhand V12 Lambo you need to be patient. Done it three times; took me nearly two years each time. Still have each car.......and haven't had a serious problem with any of them.....
It took me about a year of endless searching to find mine, saw 7 cars, 4 were not up to standard and 2 were Cat c's. I was literally in the right place at the right time. I made a totally unannounced 120 mile detour to Pangbourne on my way home to bedford from london , was driven in the car at 2pm put a deposit down 10 minutes later without driving it myself, 3 mins after my actual testdrive someone else drops by wanting to buy the car offering 3k more than I had but I'd nabbed it first.
Put your name about to the dealers go and see them, spend some time talking to them become a familiar face. If you find a good one be prepared to move bloody quickly to get it because there will be six or seven people after it no question. I think the times of paying under 120k for a mint fettled one are now well and truly gone. The major problem you will encounter is that bodily the car may be great..stunning even . . but dig a bit deeper mechanically you might not like what you find. Patience is the key word. I wish you luck in your quest for the holy grail !

+1
yes, I have tried for nearly two years my manual.
69 Murcy Web's i know them all, and I went to see them almost all ,or at least have written and / or i have spoken on the phone.
most are not original (wheels, lights, etc. repainted, many owners.)but above all, the most horrible thing is that the majority of sellers are not people honest. !!!!
especially French sellers: km unoriginal, lack the service, and in two cases they changed their minds on the price.
many bins!
especially when i do over 1000km to see ,it there are always a lot of surprises ....
Prices in Italy crazy!
today for a nice Murcy original, manual, with regular service and in particular "right" color it takes at least 130.000e.
last year were enough 100 / 105,000 ...
different speech for EGEAR: too much offer and a good price could be around 115 / 120,000 but with new clutch!
I can tell you, a lot of patience, but also you goes see all, get to know them, and immediately see the weaknesses .....
goog very luck

That's it! I looked at Countach after Countach (early 90s). Spoke to Del Hopkins about each one. Eventually saw a small ad in the Sunday Times. Went to Malvern to see it. Del didn't have time to chat; he just told me to speak to him after I'd seen it. Saw it in a lovely garage, in a fabulous house, by a lake, next to another Countach. "I don't have time to drive both.....". Bought it. Told Del on Monday.
From my deciphering the numbers and information from dealers there were 5 6.2manuals imported in 2005. 2002- May 2004 45 cars...( when e gear was introduced ) which brings my total to 50 rhd drive manuals. If you sumize 10% will be written off and 10% are cat c's(I know of at least 3...) 10% Sorn that leaves approx 35 left. The balance of the registrations will be lp640 ,650's ,670's and Roadsters.

I was told by Lambo London that my Andromida Red was the only red imported in 2005, 6.2 Manuals are extremely rare indeed than.Gassing Station | Diablo/Murcielago/Aventador | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
