I am pretty sure there are e-bay rules regards the buying / selling of cars that states if, when you arrive to collect the car or complete the deal, it is not as advertised, you can walk away. This car was clearly advertised as a genuine Lamborghini Diablo, which it obviously is not - so I can only hope that the "winning" bidder does not truly believe they are buying the real thing, and walks away if they believed they were...

Surely only a complete lunatic would bid that kind of money blind on ebay? Especially when looking at the photos it is clearly not right.

Crazy world we live in! £56k on eBay! And on something that is 100% a replica.
But more than that, so much more than that.........The spelling! I mean, this may be a thread all on its own but would you, do you buy/investigate high end cars owned by people who simply cannot string a sentence together? I NEVER follow up on a car where the advert sounds as if the owner has the reading age of a 7 year old. Is it something that puts people off or am I being silly here?

Hi Sudesh,
No that car is still very much on the cards - it all comes down to price. I need to spend a LOT on the car to make it worthwhile. I don't think we're too far apart now though. My worry was buying the car, spending all the money and not being able to sell it for what I'd paid out for it. I'm working all this weekend - I'll give you a call early next week.

1998 Silver VT Roadster previously on Autotrader has now sold - I've had a brief conversation with the new owner.

Is that the one that had been for sale a fair while - questionable paintwork and a difficult to deal with seller ?
