I spent some time looking for a Diablo, it needed to be rwd with pop up head lights, I ended up with this yellow sv 1996 ex press car and also was the Alpine stereo car. I love everything about it.
Noise level is amazing and the way it makes you feel when going though the gears on full power and back down them again with all the pops and bangs??
My 1st drive back from Topgear in Scotland in lockdown on dam roads was fun and stressful at the same time doing well over 140 ?? but something I will never forget
Even Carlo called with later that night to check I made it home safe

How does part ex work on a sale or return scenario out of interest? Dealer presumably has to pay the seller the value of the part exchange vehicle?
Yes, unless the seller wants the part exchange himself which is unlikely. That's when things can go wrong ,The dealer may not have the funds to make up the difference until he sells the part exchange in
which case he would have the car underwritten by another dealer then can pay you the full amount, Just means the dealer has to sell
two cars instead of one.
This is where the "but" comes in , All ok unless he gets let down and then you will have to wait for the balance until he finds another buyer.
Most dealers who specialise in S.O.R won't take a part exchanges and wait for a straight sale which can take longer as most buyers
go to a garage for the convenience of being able to part exchange their car. The dealer may not be in a hurry as it's your money sat
there not his.
Just be careful who you leave your pride and joy with as some not all garages do S.O.R because they have no funds to buy stock
and can only pay you when they get paid which is fine as long as they don't get into financial trouble then you could end up paying
their overdraft off or mortgage, most are honest but do your homework.

Curious what the issues were. I've seen it advertised in at least two places, and despite loving the colour, on some of the closeups certain parts look very shabby indeed.
Shabby in places and little bits and bobs and had not been cared for over the years Lovely colour
Was 200k got it down to 165 but was pushing for 150 deal said that was the right price but seller wanted more

I was going for a early one but never really liked the dash and the sv roof scopes look amazing and the extra power and short stack gear box just did it for me
Lower numbers as well with the SV which make it even more special. Did you look at this one?https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/11181519?c...

The sv’s and gt’s are the ones to go for I think if you want overload when out driving for fun lol
150 MILE , Diablo for sale, Just come in with the April edition of "Classic & Sports Car" and there'a a full page advert
for this what must be the lowest mileage r.h.d Diablo in the UK, Very red having red interior as well as paintwork.
No price which is coming normal these days on something so rare.
But would you want to use it with such low miles and in concours condition.
Will probably end up being a trailer queen in yet another collection .

Would prefer a car that has been used. Any links to it?
Yes that's what i prefer to , would be a liability and take the fun out of owning and driving it. Mike Pullen got the job to recommission the gold Countach having covered only 846 KM's that was bought by a Russian in a America auction back in 2014 for a million dollars and ended
up practically having to rebuild it were everything was seized up due to poor storage .
Sorry old dinosaur ,don't know how to link, sure there's plenty on here that can..
