On a bit of a whim, and clutching a pair of hospitality passes from McLaren, me and a buddy decided to jump in my Aventador on Friday at about 10pm and drive through the night to get to the Geneva Motorshow. We arrived in Geneva at 7am on Saturday morning, went to the show and got back in time for tea with my mum on Sunday! We powered through lots of rain, snow, sleet, ice, narrow city streets, lots of attention, a few police escorts, and several games of cat and mouse with gangs of car spotters to finally get to the hotel overlooking the beautiful lake Geneva. On he way back we enjoyed wide open sunny roads and the howl of the V12. What an epic GT car...

Here are some pics of the journey.... We're gonna do it all over again next year if anyone wants to join us...

Fantastic, you must have been knackered and grumpy come sunday surely??
I can only imagine the aventador being quite noisey hard and tiring on such a journey?
Not at all, the Aventador is a great GT car

Sure on small British roads its bumpy and harsh, but get it on the big, smooth continental roads, pop it in Strada mode and its quiet, comfortable, roomy and refined.

Just about to say that must have been a bum clenching drive down the train.

It feels tight enough in a normal car.
Yeah unfortunately they had no space left in the wide carriage, it was a complete nightmare and the train loading team got a bit upset we were taking so long to move the car to its final position. We had to go through 7 carriages with 1cm each side!

Well it was Mothers day, god bless her!

It was epic, I know 1200 miles in 48 hours cost me in depreciation, but the memories of the trip are priceless so I'm quids in!
