New Countach Owner needs some help please

PaulQV: Can't wait to try it in anger when the weather is a bit better for it. Yes always been in to air cooled RS, but have land rovers and other stuff that have a habit of dropping their fluids out, so know what water temp gauge is. :-)
Hunter66: It's your fault for buying a V12 and getting me in to them. Love the Lambo. I've barely had it 5 minutes and already thinking about some more Italian cars. :-)
I've got lots of 911's for 2 main reasons; I buy / sell / restore them as part of my company, but the biggest driver is because generally I'm addicted to them, especially the race bred cars. On a personal basis I have a 964C2 hot rod, 964RS, 964RSR, 993RSR, 993 Cup, 993GT2-R RHD and jointly share ownership of another 993GT2-R with Hunter66. It use to be our race car for stuff like the Britcar 24hr, but we're currently restoring it to like new. On pure looks and drama alone the Countach gets all the looks along side the others.

Obviously I am tempting fate but in 20+ years never had a problem starting my 5000S.
When it's cold, I was taught to turn the ignition on until the brake light flashes. Pump the gas twice. Turn the key.
Mostly it starts immediately even if it's been lying awhile.
If it doesn't a couple moe pumps; turn the key and you're off.
I always disconnect the battery when I park up. And charge it regularly.
When it's warm it can be trickier. Press the gas half down and turn the key. It will erupt.
If it's very hot it very occasionally doesn't want to start. Leave it to cool down for 5-10mins and it'll be fine.

Bonhams just sold one at £180k tonight.
Sorry guys I didn't intend the pictures to take it off topic from the Countach. Anyone know where I can get genuine sports seats to replace the full electric ones?
Also any recommendation for basic spares, or is Lambo main dealer the best bet. I need new gas struts for every opening panel. The original ones are now too weak.

I would not go main dealer for something like gas structs, they'll only charge you more for a 3rd party part. Speak to one of the independants, Mike Pullen, Roberto Grimaldi, these chaps will advise.
I've used Eurospares in the past for Ferrari parts and at times, it's been a bit hit and miss.

You can get them made to order from gas strut suppliers which may be cheaper. you have the part number on the strut and the critical thing other than the weight is the top and bottom fixing width Sorry guys I didn't intend the pictures to take it off topic from the Countach. You do know where Rob Grimaldi gets his parts from, don't you?....I've used Eurospares in the past for Ferrari parts and at times, it's been a bit hit and miss.

The struts can be ordered from any Stabilus gas strut supplier. I've ordered them direct a few times. This site lists many of them: http://www.vintagelamborghini.com/135-resources/ge...
