I must admit both my photos and my memory are a bit mixed up! Some of these were taken at Silverstone in 93 and some in 94. I think this next batch was in 94?

I think i was at the 93 and 94 meetings. I see Peter who was the then president, who had the silver anni. I was at both with a Rover 827 Vitesse, which I parked at the rear of the club stand, as My Espada wasn't ready for either event! I followed the Lambo convoy in that, and took photos standing out of the sunroof at 100mph! Crazy days!
I have lots of slides of those events and will see If I can dig them out. Strange to think it was 20 years ago! I went to the first one with my mate Alastair and the second with him and another friend Frank. At the second the guy from yorkshire came with his F40 and had to move it from the stand!
Not sure if anyone remembers me from then!
Great pics, hope people keep posting

He bought a McLaren F1 at the 2nd meeting and sold the F40. You might recall we all ganged up on him after the dinner and asked if we could chuck his plastic car into the pool to see if it floated. He said he didn't give a damn as he sold it to buy the F1!
He had an Enzo, racing F40 converted to road; racing F1 converted to road a Daytona Spyder one of the original 6 and last I saw him last year a tuned Carrera GT. Really nice down to earth guy

What car did you have there Robert? Sadly I look much as I did then but less hair and older!

thank you for replying to my query as to how to upload a photo from my I pad onto this thread

I am afraid that I need a very basic and straightforward list of steps, as I am unable even to find the reply section that you mention in your reply

I would dearly like to upload a few photos , so any help from ro55a , or anyone else would be gratefully appreciated

thank-you in anticipation
Path

Go to reply
Then above white box there is Upload an image ( beta)
Click that
then click " choose file'
go to the folder and file on your iPad which you want to upload
click upload

Then it should upload like a long list of letters
close the small box
then submit
If the file is too big then you have to use your iPad to use web fit and save it to a location preferably a new folder from which you can repeat the process and upload

Failing which:

Find:
A grandchild
A nephew/ Neice
Neighbours child

And they will do it in seconds for you!

Hope you and the car are eel

WEEEHHHHHHHHHHH

That old Rover vitesse was my Mark IV Espada! Great to see those pics! Sadly it took another 17 years for my Espada to make it to a club event down there!

Brilliant! If you have more please post. Its possible one of those young men there could be me! lol

Hey Elliot
looks cool. There is a black one coming to Edinburgh in the new year. We will all have to get together soon? How is the car going? Enjoying it? What do you think? how does it compare to the rest of your fleet?

A thought

By next year, we will have 5 Ct's in Scotland! wooooooppppppp!

I want to do a video in the spring of the cars. A mate is a professional and would do this for me, for the usual fee of endless supplies of coffee and cake.

My idea is to try this early April on some of the roads up herein God's chosen country ( Scotland)

Clearly Any owner from England would be more than welcome. I could arrange hotels, food stops etc quite easily.

Anyone fancy a CT meet up here? Probably in the borders, rather than the Highlands.

( PS the last time I checked,it was the same distance from Scotland to England as England to Scotland)

Yep, I'm sure that's my car because you can see the unique(?) additional radio pod sitting next to the dash in the second photo. When I bought the car, I was going to have this taken out but then Mike Perry told me Portmans fitted a few Countach with them as a way of making a few extra ££££.

This pic below shows how it looks from the inside. '80s Alpine...love it.

Thanks so much for digging these photos out, so pleased to finally discover some existed.
Harry

I wondered about that. I think there are a couple that had that done. I seem to recall some advertising from about that time with that feature? I will have a look through some of my magazines from that time over Christmas and see if I can find and scan some photos.

Hope the fleet is going well. I had my Espada converted to manual and also had the engine rebuilt again. I am very keen to finish the running in period so I can extend the engine and sample the box fully. It has the auto gearing in the diff so is a bit higher than standard. As always, just a relaxing ride and smooth car to drive.

I think I may have some photos of your GTB when it was for sale about 6 years ago, again will see if can dig them out.

Are you still doing updates on your fleet in EVO?

Regards

Paul

Lol

I went on the lambo convoy with the that car, with my mate driving. We were doing 100mph with me out of the sunroof taking photos. I had to keep turning away to the side to breath as couldn't if I faced forward.
It had the Honda 2.7 V6 engine, non cat. In the top 10 of the best engines in any car I have driven.
It could cruise all day at 115mph at high 20's mpg, easily cruise at 135mph as I did many times and get above 140 without too much difficulty.
I suppose it could be a sub thread but best engines:
Lambo V12 Noise power etc
AlfaSud flat 4 1.2 etc. just sublime.
Honda 2.7 V6 as above.
Lancia fulvia V4
Ferrari V8 as in 308/328
Ferrari V8 458
Fiat fire 1.0 etc, just unburstable
Porsche flat 6 in 993 water cooled.
Honda vitec
