Had a spirited joust with a 765LT coupe a couple of weekends ago. He certainly had the advantage in acceleration,
straight line speed, braking, corner entry, mid-corner speed and exit traction but we were pretty close on parking??

Saw it today at the British Motor show - absolutely stunning in the flesh!
Thank you I was there today with it. But unfortunately given it's key position in the entrance and so many pedestrians, it was impossible to move MSO 1 to the parade ground area for a demo drive.
I arrived there in my Ferrari wearing a McLaren shirt and cap Got a few comments as a result

The carbon delta shape on the bonnet looks stunning on the move. Makes you look like more of a fighter plane than a 765 already is
Thanks It does look extremely aggressively on approach, as seen in the Beaulieu video. I'd love to see it in my rear view mirror
Best of British with McLarens welcoming all visitors to the show last week. Show pic and Insta link:
Just want to thank the moderator with so much time on their hands to go through and delete most of the youtube links and instagram links on this thread, making it rather worthless. Well done! bravo!
No point posting much here, so will only occasionally update this thread on Pistonheads from now.
Pics from Concours of Elegance and Salon Prive this Saturday and Sunday will all be on Instagram and elsewhere, bar one or two.
Mods are damaging this site IMO.

the mods have been awful on PH for a long time now
100%I've just added some content from Salon Prive this Sunday to my Instagram (I won't share the link here due to the mods not liking that). Mods won't permit me to link my video here either. Easy enough to find if anyone searches for my car name on insta.
Today, video and images of the incredible McMurtry Speirling "Batmobile".

Hi Jas thanks for sharing, unfortunately for me I don't do Insta or FB so will miss out due to heavy handed policing on here.
Thanks for me helping me out at Hampton Court with the lift button on my 720 much appreciated.
It was a pleasure to meet you, and sorry I didn't immediately realise you were stuck & so I initially just gave you a thumbs up thinking "fellow McLaren driver" LOL Thanks for me helping me out at Hampton Court with the lift button on my 720 much appreciated.
Email me if you like, and I will point you in the right direction for a few key resources to help you get a lot more enjoyment from your 720S ownership experience. 720S is the best all round supercar you can buy IMO.
Don't stress over using FB, Insta etc. Many of us (me included) have got an FB account solely for car stuff and don't use it for other personal use. There are good car clubs that really only have a FB user interface for example.

Perhaps I should respray the car in McLaren orange to match my shirt
You're right though - McLaren need to bring out a Volcano Orange shirt

I love the car
But don’t get the signature thing
Not really sure what you mean about not getting it?But don’t get the signature thing
The car is very personal to me in how I wanted it, and I wanted those specific signatures on it. Amanda did also sign my old 720S, but that was impromptu at an event.
On MSO 1, these 4 signatures were planned, done during build, and are permanent on the carbon, and under the clear laquer coat.

akadk, no prob at all. Lots of other details on the car, and glad you like everything else
samoht, that's my thinking too. They're part of the story of the car, and hidden away until you look. There are lots of little things like that on MSO 1, which most won't even notice but which were important to me.
About the signatures, the F1 drivers were the ones racing for McLaren at the time the car was built. So it's a fixed point in history. Daniel has of course since left the team.
In fact Amanda retired the day after she signed my bonnet, and whilst I know she signed many McLarens at events (e.g. my 720S at Beaulieu), I think it's very rare that she signed any during build.
I wanted Bruno primarily because of him being Ayrton's nephew of course. But having met him a number of times, he is super friendly and we chatted for ages. He took me around Goodwood circuit on a fast lap in a Senna too.
Lando is also very friendly and nice when you chat with him. I never did meet Daniel though, but we all know he would be a complete laugh and larger than life personality. But I got both of them to sign simply because they were McLaren's current F1 drivers during my car's construction.
As an aside, the bonnet was the very first part of MSO 1 to be built. It was done first in order that Amanda could sign it before she left for New Zealand. But it was painted partly Volcano Orange many months later, along with other body panels.

The finishing touch for a unique car, the fact others don’t get it is irrelevant.
You’ve got it the way you want it , nothing else matters.
Ps, next time you’re travelling through the NE I’m sure some wouldn’t mind having a butchas up close.
Thanks Indeed I do love it.You’ve got it the way you want it , nothing else matters.

I'm sure I will be heading North in it again this summer.

Without doubt the signatures adds another element of coolness imo!
What a car. Dare I say it, almost too good to drive
Thanks What a car. Dare I say it, almost too good to drive
But I take the view it's too good not to drive

Thanks for posting. What was Wales like regarding cameras/the local constabulary that like to photograph cars of this nature?
Lots and lots of police, including temporary speedtraps (copy with a laser gun). They also clearly communicated that there were cars on tours (we weren't the only group at the time). They were also hot on missing front plates.
Mitex radios are useful
