Was lucky enough to see this in person and it's even more stunning than it looks on film.
Agreed, these are my pictures from a recent visit, didn’t get to see it outside in the sun, but I’d guess it would really light up with that paintwork

Part 6 is now available, enjoy.

A good inspiration for any that wants to rebuild a broken car.

In the sense that fixing a wrecked mainstream car looks like childs play compared to repairing a salt water flooded hybrid hyper car?!

I'm not convinced this car ever gets fixed. Were 6 episodes in now and they haven't even drained all the water out of it yet!

He is averaging about 2m views per video, so guess he wants it to take some time...

This. The P1 is nothing to do with actually rebuilding it, but having something that can generate content. Taking it on at the price he paid was lunacy to most of us, but if you're a YouTuber and need content that generates views, it matters not (almost) what it costs or how long it takes.

There does seem to be rather a culture of YouTube one-upmanship in terms of what hyper exotic they can take on to be rebuilt too, though a lot of collusion goes on too - see Mat Armstrong GTR which Tavarish has 'bought'. For Mat to bring that car to the UK never made any commercial sense - but again, it's all about the views....

It'll get done - they're milking it for views so being very detailed in the rebuild vlog.

Given the outlay for the car it's not really surprising he's taking his time, I'll be honest I'm not too bothered as he's been pretty regular with the content updates and at least he's had coverage of other shops.

Thought this latest one was good, interesting to hear he had planned to drop the engine into the 675LT which a lot of us suspected but now he has plans for a second-hand battery seems a very large and expensive part of the puzzle has fallen into place.

Tavarish is getting some 600k $ / year from youtube. Plus he getting funding from the adverts. Plus he sells some cars. And, he invites other companies in the show, giving them some publicity and himself some discounts or kickbacks..

Apart from a entertaining show, I must admit he is a business oriented young man.

A P1 is not a easy task to repair, that makes the show more interesting.

Despite my initial reservations on this build I’m actually really enjoying the series, the engine build looks now to be going the right way too.

I still hope it’s stripped right back to a bare tub and very component is cleaned dried, assessed and either restores or replaced, that does seem in a fashion to be the plan now.

Amazing what YouTube money has allowed creators to do, ordinarily I suspect this car would never have driven again.

Exactly that. I sold some bits to Mat Armstrong, one of the guys that works for him came to collect them and was saying the project they were for in isolation makes absolutely 0 sense financially but when you consider how much 'content' it will generate then suddenly it is a bargain (comparatively)

Only way this makes sense is from the content it creates …2m views per video ain’t bad. Staggering complexity to modern Supercars watching them take it all apart is v interesting really hope they get it back on the road, determination and persistence vital but they don’t seem to be lacking in that dept so good luck to them.

Taking it apart is the easy bit, putting it back together is an altogether different matter.

For me, these cars should be as original as possible. I know people like to put their own touches to them but Tavarish will go beyond that and then some. The engine upgrades do look interesting though.

If you tube did not exist then this car would never have lived again.

It would have been harvested as a parts donor, and given how much of it is not bespoke to the P1 then a lot of it would not have had a great deal of value on the used market.

Few hundred grand maybe for the actual P1 carbon elements

I'm a little surprised he's going down the modification route in respect of messing with the engine - I'd have thought that one thing the P1 does not need is more power.

Modifying the battery, etc seems sensible given it's history and the cost of replacement.

I hope he doesn't mess with the bodywork/wheels. An individual colour is fine.

But, it's his car - his choice. It'll be interesting to see what he does with it at the end, presumably it'll have to be sold.

He's appealing to the US market, which consists of mouth breathers constitutionally unable to leave their cars alone. You should see the number of people on US McLaren forums whining that their cars don't work properly despite being "bone stock...apart from a tune/the turbo inlets/decat etc" They all know better than Woking (or Ricardo) and since they don't actually drive their cars, it's all about droning on about wheel horsepower and theoretical acceleration in a straight line to other very large people over awful coffee at a posing event that requires a journey of fewer than 5 miles from their house. Remember that Tavarish (who really needs to eat fewer pies himself) blew up his 675LT because apparently it needed more "powerrr" so he "threw a tune" on it and then promptly bent a rod while revving it to impress another yootoober with peculiar holes in his ears who's allowed a six-year-old to scribble all over him in magic marker. Accordingly he's going to ruin a possibly saveable P1 with a variety of ill-chosen "upgrades". Thankfully it was a) yellow and b) otherwise destined for garage-queenhood and careful polishing of the wheel wells before exhibition at the aforementioned cars and coffee, probably having been trailered there to keep it at 300 careful miles, so it's not really a great loss.
